My wife and I went here with a couple who live in Pleasant Hills. Can’t remember what everyone had but I had sesame chicken, fried rice and an egg roll. We all had hot tea. I often order sesame chicken when trying a new (to me) Chinese restaurant as I have this often (or Hunan beef, Kung Pao beef/shrimp) and this gives me a basis for comparison. The sesame chicken was good. Service was good. I will probably go back when I am in the area.
I've been coming for lunch here often. I'm not sure what happened on this visit, but the food was very mediocre to bad. Ordered shredded pork with string beans, which is usually very good. This time the pork was off with some pieces having a freezer burn type taste. Hopefully it was just an off day and all will be good next time. One can hope.
Sept 21, 2025 - PM - The place is clean, cozy, makes you feel like home. Nice staff. Plenty free parking, safe neighborhood. Food was good with the exception of the onions. I actually like onions but the taste was too strong ( a first in my life) due to the cut in big chunks and not being cooked ( it felt as raw as in a salad) - I had 3 dishes, the bad one was the cashew chicken.
