Food taste is ok but not as good as other locations like Sacramento, we've been here many times and the services is really bad, or you can say no services at all, like you owe the waiter money, and asked for unreasonable tips.

Great the ambiance and the look of the restaurant. We ordered spicy chicken which had lot of red chillies, boiled fish in chili sauce fish was great but sauce was full of oil. Ordered veg spring rolls those tasted great. Also got chili fried rice was too spicy. Loved the kung pao shrimp. Cons are too much oil and spice-red chilies .

Crab shrimp steamed bun is terrible. It breaks when lifted. Never experienced that in any other Shanghai restaurant. The flavor is not authentic at all. Also ordered Dandan noodle which is terrible as well. Fish-flavored pork had too much vinegar

Horrible service. Servers kept asking us to order every 3 mins. They also did not make eye contact, say thank you or be courteous at any given time during our meal. Also server stared at us when she gave us the tipping screen she was looking at it to make sure we tip well. Horrible. Did you really have to stare? So the food. We ordered the beef noodle soup, fried rice and a lion head. The lion head was too sweet, and it was exp for just 4 tiny meatballs with some veggies. Fried rice was okay, not bad but not good either. Lacking that Wok Hey. Beef noodle soup was the most disappointing dish had no flavor at all. Noodles tasted good but soup was bland and no flavor. With this horrible customer service and food I am never coming back.

Super fancy Chinese restaurant. Service was ok, we had to call the waiter over to order. The restaurant was not even super busy. They did however checked on us quite often during our meal. The food was pretty good but really heavy. Their dumplings are very different from traditional dumplings. It is way more juicier and kind of tastes like it's filled with bone marrow or some sort of fat, which we like but definitely into a food coma afterwards. Dandan noodles were really good. Caution: there is a good amount of the numbing pepper. The XLB was decent with good filings and soup. The dumplings had a really good crust at the bottom and was decent size. Most likely will get that again when we come back.

Very rude waiter horrible service! He was watching us eat the entire time with a rude look. At first I thought maybe he was just being attentive and waiting to see if we needed anything. But No he literally stood right by our table wanting to rush us to leave when we had just sat down 10mins ago and they were the ones taking so long to bring the food They brought out one dish at a time literally 5mins apart we ordered 3 dishes. When I asked for the bill and 3 boxes he said you can put everything in one box. Then he brought the bill and stood there until I paid while I was boxing the items myself he said can you pay first. So I paid then finished boxing my own food. He again was watching us the whole time. When we got up to leave he stood right in front of us and stopped us saying our bill did not include his tip. I said we know we are not leaving you a tip you were very rude. He said that he would remember us and to not come back. This was the absolute worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Definitely do not recommend at all.

Soup Feels like cheap meat from the supermarket cut and dumped into the broth. I would not eat it even for free, but the prices are quite high.

Ambience and smell is very locally Shanghainese, but for the crab tofu and big dumplings we ordered are either tasteless or too sweet (dumpling), me being native from Shanghai. Might need to try some other big dishes next time.

Service was horrible! Felt rushed! Food was not what I expected. We didn't get what we ordered. I do not recommend.

This is my go-to Shanghai style Chinese restaurant. I'm from Shanghai, and whenever I miss the food I come here. The braised eel and sweet and sour fish are my favs, but everything I've ordered has been authentic and tasty. They've now added fried pork chop with rice cake (Shanghai comfort food equivalent to chicken and waffles) yummy! Ambiance and service are also very authentic ;) so don't expect Michelin star service and do check your bills carefully. Staff are always helpful and do there best even during busy hours (even if they don't smile much) which is also very authentically Chinese. I have never ordered the roast duck here and have not tried most of the spicy dishes, because those are not really Shanghai specialty. You don't go to a Texas BBQ joint to order deep dish pizza. Just be warned, a lot of Shanghai dishes are fried and cooked with soy sauce and sugar so they are sweet and savory, and oily, but that's where all the flavor is!!! Just order some white rice to pair everything with.
