About Fiery Shanghai

Fiery Shanghai offers a traditional Shanghainese culinary experience, serving dishes like Xiaolongbao and fresh shrimp from the river. The restaurant is known for its authentic and delicious Shanghainese food, with favorites like Shanghai Cai Fan and Hong Shao Rou. The ambiance is good, and the management and staff are very friendly, often providing helpful recommendations. Customers have praised the service, noting that waiters are friendly and apologetic when busy. Portions are generally sufficient, and many find the food to be on point. However, some dishes may need adjustments, as a prawn dish was found overly salty, and a noodle dish felt dry with a funky smell, while the rice used was of low quality. Despite these issues, the restaurant's efforts to ensure customer satisfaction are evident, and it remains a popular choice for those seeking a genuine Shanghainese meal. The restaurant is especially recommended when less crowded, with many planning to return to try more dishes.

I especially loved eating the steamed ribs, I ate it with rice congee, such a comforting combination! The zongzi was also delicious, I added...read full review
The food seemed to have been prepared several days in advance was no longer fresh... and the staff reminded us for a tip.
We almost didn’t go into Fiery Shanghai because, honestly, we weren’t sure what to expect just from the title. But we’re so glad we did!

Everyone in our group from my picky parents in their 70s, to me in my 50s, and my son in his 20s left happy and satisfied. We ordered the Twice-Cooked Pork, Fish-Fragrant Pork, Mu Shu Chicken, Garlic Eggplant, Xiao Long Bao, and the black sesame glutinous rice balls in sweet red bean soup for dessert. Every dish was excellent.
