Some of the best shrimp fried rice I’ve ever had!!!
We had 3 meals, the salt an pepper shrimp were really good. The orange chicken an cashew chicken had no flavor at all. It was really bland. This place offers no refills on soda which is crazy too me. Overall it wasn't what I was expecting, most likely won't be coming back.
Listen. Gold Chopstick isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a lifestyle choice. I go there so often that I should have a reserved parking spot and a framed photo on the wall. They know me by name, which is adorable, but also kind of dangerous because now I can’t go anywhere else without feeling like a traitor.
The pot stickers? Crunchy little love letters from the food gods. The orange chicken? Sweet, tangy, perfectly sauced chaos—I’d leave a man for it. Twice. And don’t even get me started on the hot mustard. That stuff slaps harder than my mom when I talked back in ‘03. It’s fiery, bold, and not here to make friends—just like me. It's so good that when it hits and you start crying, your ancestors reach out to make sure you're ok.
The staff? Iconic. They’re warm, funny, and serve your food with the kind of care that makes you suspicious they’ve adopted you without paperwork.
When I move? Oh, I’ll still think about this place. Weekly. Tearfully. While suffering through some basic, bland, chain-restaurant version of “orange chicken” that tastes like betrayal.
You'd be crazy not to eat here. Stop in and try whatever because it's all worth it!
Went to golden chopsticks for Mother’s Day. Ambience is ok. Service is ok too. But the food not so good it is just mediocre. Given 2 star for walnut shrimp. Fried rice, Chow mein , Kung Pao is not good at all and worse dish is Foil wrap chicken. Not going again.
Superb friendly service and the food is so delicious!
I've been going to Gold chopsticks for over 25 years. They are always friendly as say hello when you walk in and the food is always amazing. I take friends in here often and they always are happy that I showed them. One of the best Chinese restaurants in Pleasanton!
A quaint little Chinese restaurant. Great atmosphere! I really enjoyed their chow mein and broccoli beef.
Food here is excellent. We have done both dine in and take out many many times. Taste, quality and quantity always consistent. Fresh ingredients and very good spice levels.
No matter how busy they are, always welcomed with a smile.
Celebrated my Moms 79th Birthday with her favorite food! Honey Walnut Prawns. Staff were so sweet & kind! The food is always delicious.
I was pleasantly surprised when the food came to our table. The smells and tastes were lovely and the staff seemed very attuned to the atmosphere. Do take note if you have something against oily foods, it seemed pretty oily. Other than that, I like the experience, would come again to try some other savory sounding foods in the menu.
9/30/24: Came back to this place a second time. The food still tasted as great as before. This time I ordered the honey walnut prawn and general tsou's chicken. The honey walnut prawns were surprisingly different with interesting addition of sesame seeds. I couldn't believe the taste afterwards. Best honey walnut prawn I've had
