Great spot for a Mexican-style breakfast. We really enjoyed the tamales, and the chorizo burrito was pretty good too. The food was a little on the bland side and didn’t quite have that traditional Mexican flavor we were hoping for, but overall it was still a solid experience. Golden State Taqueria serves authentic Mexican food, focusing on traditional dishes like tacos and Carne asada plates. Their tacos, including flavors like Al pastor, carnitas, pollo, BBQ pollo, and chorizo, are simple yet tasty, with a salsa that has a kick. The Carne asada plate is a filling and satisfying option, priced at $21 after tax. The restaurant also offers generous burritos, with a regular burrito option that can be ordered without rice for a hearty serving of beans. Complimentary chips and salsa, made fresh in-house, are a welcome start to any meal. While some customers found the wet burrito sauce a bit bland, many praised the salsa as amazing. The staff is friendly, and the dining room is clean and welcoming, providing an awesome atmosphere for catching a game or enjoying a meal with friends. Overall, this little hole in the wall taqueria in the Rosewood Pavilion is recommended for those seeking authentic Mexican food.
