We should have stood up and left the minute our waitress gave us a smart remark when I asked for a recommendation for wine with my dish. She seemed disinterested in serving us the whole time. I ordered the pasta alla nerrano. For my dish, the pasta was soggy drenched in some cheesy sauce. Won't be here for a while.

Always a great time at Locanda. When they know who you are because you're a regular customer, they treat you like family. Even when I'm walking down the street, they will greet me and say hello. Sometimes, a hug. Food is always good. Love the Frito Misto and the Margarita pizza. We tried a new pasta: fettuccini with zucchini. Tastes like cacio e pepe. Rich and cheesy. The triple chocolate cake was delicious! Service and atmosphere is always wonderful! They always check on you - water, take plates away, see how the food is, etc. This is why I love coming back to Locanda Amalfi!

Party of 4 sat outside, the outside music was too loud in that we had to strain to hear each other at less than 2 feet away. Menu is somewhat limited yet had a nice variety. I had a Caesars salad that was supposed to have anchovies, none on the plate and too much dressing, ate 1/2, I had the pasta special, it was just OK, ate 1/2. Limoncello cake was very good-ate all😄. Service was very spotty, waiter would disappear for long periods and we had to repeat requests. Overall, not bad yet not memorable, would not recommend nor return

We were going to celebrate my husband's 60th - I had a party of 9. It was a surprise where we were going and who was coming. We were just about at the restaurant when they called to ask if it would be ok if we sat outside although I had chosen inside. I said that would be fine. One of our nine dropped someone off and left. So in the end there were 8 of us. I just felt like service was lacking. It started with asking if I could have gnocci with brown butter and safe instead of the truffle cream sauce. It felt like it was both. I really just wanted the browned butter but got both. It was fine, I ate it. My husband and I split a pizza and it was partially burnt which gave it a bitter flavor I didn't enjoy. Then my mom asked for a coke and sat for 20 minutes until we asked again. Being outside we were at the mercy of when a waiter might come back out. then when we ordered dessert, it was weird they brought my husband his cheesecake, no candle but when they brought out more desserts they brought him a scoop of vanilled ice cream with a candle. That whole transaction made no sense. They could have just put the candle on the cheesecake. Then we ordered coffee with cream. Out came three coffees and no cream. Again, 10 minutes passed and we flagged someone down to bring us cream. My coffee was now lukewarm. Who does that? brings out coffee and no cream when it was ordered? So it wasn't perfect. The food was ok but I don't think I would go back. A bit disappointed.

We had a wonderful time celebrating our mother's milestone birthday at Locanda Amalfi! The food was excellent and well timed - we ordered from almost every part of the menu and shared our dishes. Even my picky four year old enjoyed her meal. The service was also outstanding. Would definitely come back the next time we're in Pleasanton.

Every one of them has a different vibe. The one in Brentwood is great. The wine bar in Livermore is great. This one Pleasanton is great also all different but all excellent service and great food and spirits. Highly recommend all of them
