$10 cover. I know of 2 line dancing places, this one and a place in Los Gatos on Wednesday nights. Mavericks is great - they have decent food, more than enough space for line dancing, and the line dancing is explicitly separated so people just trying to get a drink aren't getting run into by line dancers. Plus there's a mechanical bull! They have lessons as well if you get there early and when I've been able to make it, those are super helpful

Mavericks is a great place for dancing and general all around fun. Adam the Dancing Cowboy does a great job with the dance lessons while also reminding everyone to share the dance floor. The dance floor can get quite crowded at times, so everybody just needs to respectfully follow some basic dance floor etiquette. Also great food and drinks! Friendly bartenders and staff. Great dance floor too!

I have been a regular to Mavs for a long time. Love going on DJ nights. Especially when Adam the Dancing cowboy is teaching. Highly recommend

Looking for the perfect western themed evening and place to wear your western attire and dance the night away? This is the place. As a kid I always heard about the infamous saddle rack and didn't have the chance to visit the original one that was in San Jose but experienced the Fremont location that has since closed. I've been back and fourth to Nashville and love the line dancing and western theme bars there and was on the hunt for one out here in the Bay Area. I went on a rainy Saturday night and this place was packed! Lots of people line dancing, full bar, a mechanical Bull and I met some wonderful regulars who gave me the run down on all things line dancing! Loved it so much I came back the week after and brought friends from out of town! If your looking to kick start your cowgirl or cowboy era I suggest you giddy down to mavericks and have a good time!

Poor experience with customer service not being very kind over the phone, I wish that they had 18+ nights!

Mavericks in Pleasanton city is a hidden gem! Tucked away in an unassuming market plaza, this dance bar and lounge exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere was electric, with a lively party vibe with awesome music and crowd which was perfect for a night out. The food and drinks were great as well- the chicken wings, Brussels sprouts, and nachos were all delicious, and the gin and tonics were expertly crafted by the friendly bartender. Don't let the location fool you - Mavericks is a must-visit for anyone looking for a great time and excellent fare. 5 stars!

Nice atmosphere, food is ok but over priced. A sports bar should have more apps less entrees.

I wanted to step out and go to the bar with my cousin, who came down from Modesto. We ordered food that took for ever to come, the food was cold and oily so I ask the guy to touch the food and he apologized after taking it back to the kitchen . He then bought me a cup that had the company name on it Mavericks. No big deal. Another side of the bar had a bull that I wanted to ride that I was told was free. When I got there, it was an African-American black, security guard. The guy told me that the price was five dollars and I had to walk around to the other side to get in from another door. When I got there, it was an owner. That was Caucasian. I think his name is Dav. Dave told me that it was $10 to get in and I told him how do we go from 0 to 5 to $10 and that I just purchased food that was not up to par. That I just wanted to ride the bull and leave that I won’t be there for long not even five mins. He then told me that the security guard, and the waitress should pay for me if I wanted to get in. The worst experience of my life. I said excuse me? He said if I want to get in tell the men that gave me the wrong info to pay my way in. I’m African-American myself. I would never go to that bar again. It was a waste of my time and money, and the owner seem like a racist anyways. Myself becoming a small business owner. I would never treat someone like that. I would never recommend someone to this hole in the wall place.

One of our best experiences in the US. We travelled through 7 States on our road trip and were really lucky just to happen to pass through Pleasanton and decided to spend the night. Maverick’s Just happened to be a local bar to our hotel. What a cracking night. So much fun for us to watch, dance, bull ride! and be part of real fun American culture. Thanks Mavericks for a great and memorable evening

Super fun country bar that has amazing drinks, prices, mix of younger and older crowd, and a great atmosphere. There's a large dance floor with lights and they even have a bull pit. The cover charge is usually only $5 which is reasonable.

Dj doesn't know what he's doing or how to incorporate different songs and doesn't want to change anything. And when you ask him he acts like he has a plan. In reality he has no idea what he's doing and is playing a set list someone else left him. I tried several different suggestions and tipped to try to get a song I know how to dance to and he acted like he already played it when i had been there since they opened and didn't get even half a song I knew and he told me he already had I played it. If you're not from the area steer clear because dj doesn't know what he's doing and doesn't want to learn ant new songs. I'm super disappointed because I asked for maybe 8 different songs and the dj never played a single one of them and doesn't seem like he wants to change his set list at all
