Oyo Reviews
One of Pleasanton’s finest restaurant for sure. Why - exotic Guyanese fusion cuisine that should please every palate. Very attentive service and a full bar. What else can you ask for? And yes, the nicest chef cum owner - Maurice and his son are real delightful people.
sizzling shrimp were sizzling... and hammered; tough and barely edible. pepper pot was a short rib that while tender and flavorful, was mostly fat. none of the descirbed falvors were evident. no punch from habanero, or any chilis. extremely disappointed.
Good fun, vibrant atmosphere, nice staff!

Oyo is a lively restaurant with a great atmosphere and delicious, authentic food. The servings are generally good-sized, and customers often recommend the ? bread and the fresh spinach salad. The food is served quickly, and the drinks are of high quality. On a busy day, the kitchen may experience some inconsistency, with a few dishes like the half chicken and octopus salad sometimes overcooked or slightly burnt, which can affect the overall experience. Despite this, the menu offers promising options such as the Oyo paella and ribs, both of which are large enough to share and highly enjoyed. The paella tends to be better, and the portions are generous. The restaurant is known for its ability to serve mouth-watering vegetarian Caribbean food, which many find worth the price. It’s recommended to make a reservation, especially on weekend nights, as wait times can be long. The friendly and attentive service adds to the positive atmosphere, making Oyo a place worth visiting multiple times.
