The wine steward is a place you must visit. It was sophisticated with a warm small town feel. The staff were welcoming and very knowledgeable about wine, spirits, and beers. Great selection of wine and a small but fun selection of liquor and beer. I love the upstairs seating area and the fact that you can buy a bottle from the store and they let you open it up in the bar
What a cool spot! Exploring downtown Pleasanton for the first time, this was the best place on the street by a mile. They’ve got so many great import liquors that I hadn’t seen before at other spots. The shop itself is a treasure trove of fine foods and wines, with an eclectic selection of ciders, hard liquor, and gins. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, passionate about wine, and friendly, making visitors feel welcome and cared for. The tastings are lovingly set up, complete with spit buckets, water, bread plates, and optional cheeseboards. The charcuterie plate is noted as a great bang for the buck, perfect for those who want to hang out for a glass of wine or two. The wine clubs offer a great deal, with two international bottles for under $50 per month. The upstairs area features a cool bar area and event space where visitors can enjoy well-curated flights of wines or beers on tap.
