It was our first time having dinner here and everything was great! We’ve seen dancing happening inside from time to time and we’d love to come back for that sometime!
I haven’t been able to find the info about this on their website.

Always good! I get $100.00 gift cards for my patients here. They love trying out different foods. My office caters to predominantly Americans. Something of ethnic food is foreign to them.

Here’s a polished, more engaging version of your review. I kept your voice, just made it flow smoothly and sound more professional while still genuine.
Wow—what an incredible dining experience! I was genuinely blown away by how delicious everything was at Oyo. To my surprise, the pork shoulder ended up being my favorite dish of the night. The meat was fall-off-the-bone tender, packed with bold flavor, and paired perfectly with the rice and beans. The plantains added just the right touch of sweetness to balance the savory richness. I love being able to taste all the spices and layers of flavor in each bite.
The oxtail stew was also fantastic, and the paella was another standout. The jerk shrimp made for a cute and tasty appetizer. And I absolutely have to highlight the pumpkin soup—it was one of my favorites. The truffle and pumpkin notes were beautifully balanced, flavorful without being overpowering, and the whole profile worked so well together.
Service and drinks were great, too! My only critique is regarding the to-go containers. For something as liquid-heavy as stew, the brown cardboard containers just aren’t ideal—they’re flimsy, not sealed, and unfortunately, as expected, ours did leak onto the other items. I’m only mentioning this in hopes that it’s helpful feedback, because it doesn’t take away from my overall experience.
Oyo is definitely a fantastic spot for large parties, families, or group outings. We ordered three entrées and two appetizers, and the portions were generous enough to last multiple days—plus everything reheated beautifully. This place is a true gem and an absolute must-try if you’re in Pleasanton and enjoy Caribbean or South American cuisine. 👌

A beautiful place, great music, service and food. The seasonal veggies were outstanding. The skillet bread was yummy. The peas and rice side dish was pretty average and we would order something else next time. The ribs were amazing. We ordered the full rack, and could have ordered a half rack for the 2 of us. We finished up with the banana bread pudding. We would definitely order everything except the rice again.

Good spot for unique fare! It's loud, poor acoustics, but a fun foray into world eats! Right in town.

The service was top notch. The food was even better. Every single dish was unique, flavorful, and full of depth. Amazing place to do family style. Their paella and chicken was stellar and definitely the stars. But everything was phenomenal. We had no bad dishes.

Went there for lunch a few times. Food is great. And drink is delicious. Good atmosphere. Last few times I went for their once a month Salsa live music and dancing on the weekend. Floor is a little too sticky to dance. But nice crowd and beautiful place for the evening in downtown Pleasanton.

✨The indoor and outdoor atmosphere is filled with good vibes 🥰, music 🎶 , vibrant colors 🌈, large picture windows 🪟 , painted scenery (even in the bathrooms) 🖼️, live and lush plants 🪴, amazing staff 🧑🏼🍳👨🏽🍳, maps 🌍& secret
recipes on the walls, skylights in the bar area, private dining behind the dining room large area, large patio facing the main intersection in the middle of downtown first street. 👀
Ps- the homemade tortillas are superb and the thickness and texture and taste 👅 shows the efforts of mixing the ingredients for a delicious, absorbent & strong wrap for every bite of your tacos 🌮.
🌟Happy hour menu as well. 😋

Beef patties aren't your typical beef patties. Look more like little potpies

I'll never come back here. The lion king roll was so rotten I had to spit it out and they didn't even offer a refund. My server was Anna, she was incredibly rude and unapologetic about the disgusting food.
