We had a very nice lunch here. The location is prime in the View's out. The window were cute against the historic building of Pleasanton. A server was very prompt and knowledgeable, he was able to describe the menu very well and make some choice recommendations The food was very good and extremely well portioned. We enjoyed that it was cooked well, including gluten-free pasta, which was not overcooked, which can be very difficult. We will be returning

This was my husband's pick for lunch so I didn't check the menu ahead of going. I'm not sure why restaurants do not pivot for lunch as it was set up for fine dining at lunch time. Do people really want table cloth dining for lunch? The menu itself had a odd range of sandwiches, pastas, pizzas and apps. I was really hard to find the focus of this Italian eatery within it. My son had the penne alla vodka which he gave 4 stars and my husband had the rigatoni Napolitano which I liked when I tried it but he said is was a shoulder shrugged good. That's not a great endorsement. Unfortunately my mother is not a pasta person and she chose the burger. I would have preferred a well made sirloin burger but this restaurant felt like they had to up it a notch with wagyu. Frankly, I didn't appreciate the upgrade. Maybe it was that the burger was hard to eat and fell apart almost immediately. My least favorite thing was the service. The main dining room had only a few guests but there was a party in the party room. So maybe that is why the food took a while to get to us. The server never took a moment to tell us the kitchen was backed up or apologize for the delay. He only seemed to care about us when we were paying the bill. We will not be returning.

Great food and service! Quiet enough to have business meeting and energetic enough to know everyone is enjoying themselves!

We had friends from out of town meet up at Pastas for lunch because of the varied menu. No one was disappointed as we all chose a different item. Our friends must have enjoyed their meals and asked to come back to try the dinner menu .

Great meal and seated by window. The specials menu is quite a bargain as it includes entree, salad and dessert. We enjoyed margarita pizza, eggplant Parmesan and seafood jambalaya. Yummy!

Amazing food at a reasonable price matched with great service including an old school downtown venue. A definite must for the true Italian food lover. We will be back.

Pretty expensive, but the food and service are excellent. Everyone was happy with their meals. I'm personally addicted to the short rib raviolis.

We celebrated 2 birthdays, & our server, Oscar, was very gracious, prompt & considerate. The crab cakes were superb, and the two entrees were outstanding (chicken piccata & the short ribs). Greatly appreciated the 2 free birthday desserts also!

This charming Main St restaurant is an icon of downtown Pleasanton. It's warm, inviting, and delicious. Oscar always makes us feel like family, and Chef Jose works magic in the kitchen. Last night we finished our meals, which is unusual for us but the lamb chops and halibut were delicious. The price fixe menu is also a good value.
