Quality food, nice wine selection, reasonable prices, pleasant service, convenient parking.
New Years Eve dinner. Very crowded which is a comment on the restaurant as a whole. Service was excellent, my NY steak was a little grisly, my wife's fillet mignon was superb. Sides couldn't be better.
The place is good and decent ambience. It's a bit too packed and noise level is high. The food is decent but highly overpriced. The value of meal compared to quality is low. Hope they can consider reducing the price per item. One of the Pasta dish was $36 and they charge extra for splitting the meal as well. Won't go there again.
Excellent food and service. The portions were good size and we were taking 1/2 home to enjoy later.
Been coming here for almost 30 years. Hands sound one of the best Italian places in the Bay Area! The tiramisu is better than anything we had in Italy!
Overall great place for pasta and steaks. My only complaint was the food wasn't hot, and the a/c on a cold night makes for an uncomfortable dinner.
Dinner was excellent. A bit too “fast” but excellent. Just not used to a restaurant pumping out the orders so quickly post Covid so my only negative would be that I would have slowed down a tad, given how quickly I ordered. From the bread to the appetizers to the main courses, excellent. And a bit funny, I lived in Pleasanton for 20 years and never tried Pastas. I had my favorites in town back then and didn't stray off my routine. Clearly I missed a great restaurant! Highly recommend Pastas!
Always reliable, good food. My fillet was cooked perfectly, medium rare. Service was a bit slow but it was very busy.
We had a very nice lunch here. The location is prime in the View's out. The window were cute against the historic building of Pleasanton. A server was very prompt and knowledgeable, he was able to describe the menu very well and make some choice recommendations The food was very good and extremely well portioned. We enjoyed that it was cooked well, including gluten-free pasta, which was not overcooked, which can be very difficult. We will be returning
This was my husband's pick for lunch so I didn't check the menu ahead of going. I'm not sure why restaurants do not pivot for lunch as it was set up for fine dining at lunch time. Do people really want table cloth dining for lunch? The menu itself had a odd range of sandwiches, pastas, pizzas and apps. I was really hard to find the focus of this Italian eatery within it. My son had the penne alla vodka which he gave 4 stars and my husband had the rigatoni Napolitano which I liked when I tried it but he said is was a shoulder shrugged good. That's not a great endorsement. Unfortunately my mother is not a pasta person and she chose the burger. I would have preferred a well made sirloin burger but this restaurant felt like they had to up it a notch with wagyu. Frankly, I didn't appreciate the upgrade. Maybe it was that the burger was hard to eat and fell apart almost immediately. My least favorite thing was the service. The main dining room had only a few guests but there was a party in the party room. So maybe that is why the food took a while to get to us. The server never took a moment to tell us the kitchen was backed up or apologize for the delay. He only seemed to care about us when we were paying the bill. We will not be returning.

This is an excellent restaurant with a wonderful food selection, great service and reasonable priced. Would recommend to anyone.
What started as a quick lunch stop turned into a full and satisfying meal! My mom was craving good pasta, and we picked this place since it was on our way back — definitely the right choice. The clam chowder, fettuccine pasta, steak, and cake were all delicious. The service was also wonderful — everyone was so attentive and friendly. We’ll definitely be coming back to try more dishes.

Great food and service! Quiet enough to have business meeting and energetic enough to know everyone is enjoying themselves!
We had friends from out of town meet up at Pastas for lunch because of the varied menu. No one was disappointed as we all chose a different item. Our friends must have enjoyed their meals and asked to come back to try the dinner menu .
Excellent food and service!
