Wow!! How could I have passed up this winery all these years? Yesterday, while visiting wineries in Amador County, we stopped here to get lunch. Was I ever surprised when I discovered what we were missing! We became a member yesterday and we are happy to be part of the Helwig family now. Please don’t do what we did and not stop in if you haven’t already.
Contemporary and reasonable tasting charge. Great and knowledgeable servers know their wines without sounding like a recorded script (I'm talking to you, Rombauer) and their Reds are tasty.
We love this place! A very nice friendly staff, great food and terrific 🍷 🍷 🍷 wine. The grounds are beautiful and dining 🍽 in the cave is extra special. The amphitheater is great for concerts. Check this place out!
