Karina outdid herself with the latest release of D.O.G a cab/Mourvèdre blend and their cab blend! My favorite is the Syrah. Real people. Real winery. Really good wine!

TKC is a great place. Really loved the small family owner atmosphere. Very yummy tasting wine with a reasonable price. My favorite place in Amador County.

Before writing this review I reached out to the owners but never received a response to address our issue. It's unfortunate I have to give them such a low rating. We came here on a Saturday with two other friends on our last stop before dinner. The winery is family owned and a small boutique operation. Tasting room shares space with the wine barrels and overall is pretty neat. I couldn't tell if the wine was good or if my pallet was already shot with a day of drinking. We ended up buying two bottles and were going to decide at home if it was really worth it or not. On Halloween night we opened a bottle after taking the kids trick or treating only to find something disgusting in the bottle. If it wasn't Halloween I might have been more upset than I really was, dead flies were in our wine bottle during my second pour. So gross! I've drank wine for quite some time and never had this issue before. It tells me that the owners do not inspect the bottling process and could careless what they put in it. We will never be back to this location and already tossed the second bottle we purchased. Amador is a great place to try new wines just stay away from here. Yuck!

This is a must visit place in Amador County. This operation is along a small road off the main wine highway in Amador County. Just some nice folks doing their thing with wine in a metal shed. Is that bad? Hell no! It actually works very good for this family-run operation. Harold is a former rocket scientist. Love the simple approach of a small production winery. Handcrafted Zinfandel, Mourvèdre, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah are the basis of their success. They also have a port. Excellent pricing when the quality is taken into account. All the blends were solid competitors to the bigger, flashier and costly wineries on the main road. We gladly bought bottles of Angel's Harvest at $15 each. The wine club is two bottles of the current release twice per year. Magnificent approach to getting the product out to consumers. 25% discount to members is like getting 4 bottles of wine and paying for three...and the 3 are already really priced low. Be sure to pet the Norwich Terrier, Brandy, when you are in the Tasting Room.

My favorite winery in Amador!! Their Mourvèdre is incredible! They have a very beautiful winemaker too who will educate you in the fine art of making quality Rhone Varietals!

Great red wines and great family story. Not the most impressive tasting room but worth your time. Go visit Harold!

TKC is all about the wine with no fuss or fancy. Really, you will taste in their underground base of operations in front of the fermentation vats and next to the aging wine barrels. Even the exterior is all business, but this makes for a very unique experience in the overall touristy area. You may get a little lost off Bell Road since signage is a little small, but you will be rewarded with great wine. I had a full tasting and was the first visitor of the day. This meant I was also the first one to cut the cheese! Their focus is mainly on Rhone-style wines with a few notable exceptions. They have several blends which is nice to see and really shows off the talent of the winemaker. Plus, their dog is very nice and friendly! The bare bones experience and very good wine are a great combination and really needed in the age of limo tours and wine slushie machines. Great experience in an unexpected place.

I've been a club member for years. I buy cases at a time. When they release their wine every year and if I'm unable to get there to taste it, I'll buy it site-un-seen (tasted) since I know I'll like it every time. I like that it's small and family owed and they don't charge to taste, unlike others in the area. It's my favorite winery.

Absolutely delicious! This is the type of tasting room that I like to visit. There is nothing touristy about it - it is simple and understated. And the wine? So good! I was bummed that we missed the dog - he was apparently on his lunch break. I really enjoyed tasting everything, although it was a bit too pricey for my current budget. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't that expensive, it's just that I had vowed to not spend more than $20 / bottle for wine that day. We were hitting a lot of wineries! The woman working in the tasting room was very nice. I would def come back here again.

A great little find. A campy tasting room that includes the aroma of wine laden wooden barrels ended up with some of the most aged wines. Don't let the PortaPottie scare you.

The wines were phenomenal. I joined the club, though I regret it now. They do not have a wine members party, so that stinks. I loved the wines; they all had very unique boutique characteristics, which I really appreciate.
