I know my bread. Your bread is SO GOOD!
Stopped here in passing while on vacation because we ran out of our own sourdough loaf. We REALLY lucked out with the day and timing. Grabbed a sourdough loaf, a blueberry lemon danish and an Italian sandwich of some sort. The danish was superb, buttery, flakey, delish! Hubs said he would give the sandwich a 12 out of 10 and wishes we’d have grabbed 2. We haven’t cut the loaf yet, but I’m sure it’s great!
Pelican Bread is an absolute gem. Tucked into the most charming little town, this tiny bakery is everything you hope to stumble upon while traveling. The pastries were incredible, the sandwiches were fresh and delicious, and the hospitality made the whole experience even better. Thoughtful, quaint, unfussy, and clearly made with so much care. Absolutely worth a stop, and the kind of place you’ll be thinking about long after you leave.
