I have some sort of very fond nostalgia for this place due to the many times I've stopped here during the past 30 years on biking or beach trips to the area. It's a cool town and a great location. The bakery itself is okay. The pastries are fair, not great, like they used to be. Staff is not the friendliest, some give you the stink eye if you ask them to fill your water bottle. At least now, after years of resistance, they do have espresso drinks, which are okay. With so many bikers around, you would think the bakery or the town would make more of an effort to have nice outside seating and bike racks. The bread shop behind them has pastries, I'll try them next time.

I enjoyed my morning bun but I would’ve loved it heated. That would make it 5-stars for sure! No seating so we found a spot a couple blocks away to sit and relax. Good place to grab breakfast before a hike.

I just tried this place again after a decade and am pleased to say the scones are as good as ever. In fact, the blueberry scone is even bigger than I remember (banana for scale). Long live Bovine Bakery!

A group of us stopped by this this week. Prices are high and the baked goods, not nearly as good as they used to be. We tried about 4 different flavored cookies and they were all pretty bad, zero flavor. coffee was fine and service was ok, not overly friendly.

The worst experience! The girl behind the counter tossed our less than tasty cobbler at us didn't even bother closing the box. It tasted like it has been sitting awhile. I ordered a chai latte with oat milk. It tasted like spiced water. My husband tried it and said it tastes like potpourri. I get it, it's on the way to the beach but skip it and save your money! I don't understand the good reviews. My husband said his mocha was meh. What a waste of money.

Used to be great, however, a group of us stopped by last weekend, 3 different type of cookies, they ALL were bland! Pretty bad. Well skip it and go elsewhere. Bummer, used to love this place.
Decent pastries, the frittatas and raspberry cream danish were delicious but brownie was too cakey and dry and not very flavorful, left something to be desired.

Double check your bag before you leave! I ordered a peanut butter cookie and a coconut oatmeal cookie. Got home over an hour away and saw two ginger cookies. I even pointed to the damn cookies I wanted. Can’t stand ginger cookies. Wasted money and so pissed! Was really looking forward to the peanut butter cookie and now I have no cookies.

Bovine was great in the early days, but now it's just ok.
The Bear Claws used to be large, fluffy, and most importantly filled completely with a tasty poppyseed paste. Now they are about half to at most 2/3rds the original size, and only a half to a third filled. Still tasty with the filling, but half the Bear Claw is now just meh bready pastry.
If you're in town it's still worth a bite, but no longer a wow factor experience.
