The food was very good, but I think they were short staffed that day as we had to wait for the check and wait for the receptionist to end a phone call before paying for our food & we ended up clocking in front lunch late.

Bakery tamales are not even hot, there’s to much masa with no flavor. Not worth buying again price is okay 14$ for four tamales Also do not place orders with the guy there, I placed a big order last week came to pick up the next day and there was no order ready apparently he forgot to make the order. Luckily the other lady there gave me my refund.
I deleted my bad review and added a 5 star review because Victoria the manager fixed everything and made the whole situation better and I appreciate that.

I love this place and bakery trust me; it’s delicious and closets thing I’ve found to authentic Mexican food. But I don’t know who hired this wanna be security guard upfront with not only one but TWO bear mace sprays lol. I guess today he was on his high horse being extremely rude to customers walking in or out; the restaurant had him taking guests name down and lord you would have thought they gave him the key to the store. Stopping people who were just walking in for picks up or the bakery side, sir you are a security job not a host. Hand the book back to the people who know how to do the job 😂. My party even told a waitress and she agreed he was being ridiculous! Get rid of this guy PLEASE

The Bakery next to El Merendero:
This bakery is truly a gem! They offer a great variety of authentic Mexican favorites — fresh Mexican bread, delicious tamales (beef, chicken, cheese with jalapeños, elote, and pork), champurrado, coffee, chicharrones, corn and harina tortillas, Mexican jello, and so many other tasty treats.
I always come here for my tamales and Mexican bread because they’re consistently delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. The prices are very affordable, and the quality is excellent every single time.
If you’re looking for a great spot to pick up tamales or pan dulce, you can’t go wrong here. Highly recommend giving this bakery a try — you’ll love it just as much as I do!
