Taquería La Fortaleza serves delicious homemade Mexican food. The food is delicious, with fresh ingredients and good flavor. The tortas are some of the best in town, and the asada nachos do not disappoint. The menudo, caldo de res, and burrito are all good. The refried beans are amazing, creamy and savory. Breakfast burritos are substantial and delicious. For the price of tacos and other food, some dishes could have a little more meat, but the meat is so good and has flavor. The pozole comes with two tostadas. Prices are fair for Porterville, though a bit higher than in Fresno. The owners are good people, attentive, friendly, and accommodating. The service is great. This place surpasses other local Mexican food restaurants.
