We came here on the way to the desert instead of getting food in Julian. After ordering it took an hour to get the food. The food wasn’t bad but it wasn’t anything special either.
Things have improved, but still needs some work. I ordered chicken fried steak for breakfast plus biscuits and gravy. Biscuits and gravy improved, but the chicken fried steak was overcooked and I couldn't eat it. plus the service is fair at best. We had to ask for silverware and water. plus the server spoke so softly we couldn't hear her talk. They did give me a discount, but I would have liked to eat the whole breakfast. I hope the New Owner will see this and correct...
Best place any time of day where you can get breakfast for dinner and dinner for breakfast. A MUST go to in Ramona, This little gem has amazing regulars and a family staff that have been there for years! Been there since the 1900's (approx?) but reopened 20 years ago (also approx) with new owner she was a waitress and bought it from the original owner because she wanted to keep it going!
