I didn’t like the food and the service sorry

I'm from Oklahoma and grew up enjoying good BBQ which can be had in that part of the country. But getting really good BBQ in CA is a challenge unless you know about the Hangry Herd where we had lunch today. The ribs were excellent, as good as I've had anywhere and the best I've ever had in CA! The brisket was also tender and very good. So, if you want good food and like BBQ, this is the place to go to.

Half slab of ribs very disappointed it was 90% fat creamy potatoe salad was ok.
But the meat was pretty bad

The food was amazing...you can smell the BBQ from the street...the atmosphere is what you'd expect...very cool...the service is top notch and attentive...but the food...OMG...IT'S OUT OF BOUNDS...!!! The sauce is minimal...they don't hide the meat because they don't have too...it's amazing...oh...and spend the $25 and buy the shirt...it's cool...

Had the pork ribs and brisket. My wife said thats the best brisket weve ever had, and i have to agree. Both were excellent. For sides we got mac and cheese and potato salad. Mac and cheese was a little runny but tasted delicious. Sauces were all really good. I really liked the hickory sauce.
We went in for lunch so I was unable to try some of the beers.
We will be back to try the beef ribs which are only available on Thursday nights.
Would have given 5 stars but im a music snob. I do have very eclectic taste, but 70s disco is Def not in my wheel house. Seemed very out of place for the atmosphere as well.

In town from Missouri, for a special occasion, we all decided to go for barbecue after the morning's activities. The food was amazing!!! The staff were all so friendly and accommodating for such a large party walking in without calling ahead. Highly recommend!!!

My girlfriends and I decided to stop here after a day of floating. The food wasnt great especially for the price, but that wasnt the worst part. On my hr and a half way back home I had to pull over twice because I was about to explode out of both ends. I was super scared for my last 45 min drive home because there's no place to pull over on the river roads. Once we got into town it started to affect my friend. She felt horrible and threw everything up. We immediately alerted the rest of our group. This morning a couple more girls said they were up all night on the toilet with intense pain, diarrhea and throwing up. This was a horrible, expensive experience

When we stopped by to pick up the donation, they weren’t open yet, and there was already a long line waiting to get in. That alone says so much about how loved this place is. And let me tell you…the smell coming from that BBQ had us seriously regretting that we couldn’t stay and eat.

We haven’t had the chance to try the food yet, but after seeing the crowd and smelling that delicious BBQ, we cannot wait to come back and try it for ourselves!

Great food. Everything we tried was good. Brisket, Pulled Pork, Chicken, Mac n Cheese, Potato Salad, and Coleslaw. Highly recommend. Good prices for what you get.

My dad works for the Railroad, all of my younger life I have had my dad’s friends over as a kid and they always make BBQ, specifically brisket. I had the Brisket Platter on my visit, it was literally the absolute best brisket I have had in my entire life. Bruce was very friendly and informative when we ordered since it was my first time here.
Absolutely worth the visit.

Come hungry for mouthwatering tender bbq. All smoked. Must have used a Texas dry rub to help pack in the flavor. Side dishes all came out delicious. Try a staff favorite daily special, include the smoked sausage. Dessert: peach cobbler with scoop of ice cream a MUST! YUMMY! Pleasant atmosphere with a private room for large family gatherings.
Local beers served on tap. Kids plates can be adjusted to their tastes. Highly recommend. Outdoor seating too.
