The food at Ono is top notch. We've had several things here including the chicken katsu, the Hawaiian BBQ Chicken, the Spam masubi, the macaroni salad is phenomenal. The staff are professional and nice. The restaurant is always super clean inside. Even when the line is long, the wait never will be. Can't say enough good things about Ono on Olsen!Kid-friendliness: They even have kid sized meals!

3/23/24- I walked in to get a menu. I am here for work but I love Hawaiian. I was greeted by Image who gave me the rundown on the menu and made some recommendations based on the items I like.He offered great customer service. He did not seem bothered about my questions or that I told him I already ate and was there for a menu.I plan to go tomorrow and I'll update my review with pictures of my meal.

I had the worst experience with Ono Hawaiian BBQ at Rancho Cordova location. I made a online order for my office staff and stopped by during my lunch break to pick it up. As soon as arrive I asked the waitress (Madison) if my order is ready, she checked and said not yet. While I was waiting she gave another customer a big order. After at least 25 minutes I asked her again and she without checking said that they are still working on it. I waited for another 5 minutes and finally approached another waitress and asked to check on my order and she said that Madison gave it away to another customer. I asked to speak to manager, she said she is not here but she will call her. She went to back and called her manager and came back to me and said that she can give me refund or make the food (it will take another 10-20minutes). I asked for discount for wasting my almost 1hour to which they refused. I was outraged, late to my meeting and had 7 coworkers waiting for their lunch at work. Terrible customer service! I would never recommend this business to anyone.

Not reviewing the food on this one, but the service. We had ordered a couple platters for a party. We were going to later that evening and went to pick up at the scheduled time and unfortunately they told us it was going to be at least another 30 minutes and ended up being another hour. Food is usually good and I don't know if they were overly busy, but today was a disappointment:

Pretty solid and dependable quality food. Not as good as Big Island BBQ in Folsom but this location is in our more traveled path so we have stopped by about 3 times this Fall. Love the beef, chicken Katsu, chicken crab Rangoons. The spam Musubi here is not my favorite but it's good. Customer service has been excellent and the restaurant is 10/10 for cleanliness. Lots of menu options including many combo plates of hundreds of possibilities for combinations. Couldn't resist adding the crab rangoons last night and super glad I did because they are ahhmanzing.
