Typically i love Strads mead. Every renaissance fair i've been to I drink a lot of it, and usually buy several bottles. I also ordered some online and never had an issue before. But very recently I bought 6 Bottles and every single one of them tasted very strongly of vinegar... idk if the process has been changed recently or just something happened with this batch. But i doubt i will purchase more. Unfortunately it seems to be happening to others as well, a few of my good...
I tried citrus mead at the renaissance fair last weekend and I liked it. So I bought a bottle of original and blueberry. Very disappointed. Original is more like beer. Blueberry is very vinegar. They don't taste right or good to me. Especially at $20 per bottle. I'll drink them but I won't be wasting my money on this brand again.
Strad Meadery was a great place to visit. The mead was extremely good, purchased a bottle of Cranberry. The staff was friendly and very informative. We had a great conversation, Definitely recommend.
