The Friday night Seafood Extravaganza was the best buffet we've ever experienced. Fantastic options, all delicious. The service was great too, in terms of friendliness and attentiveness.
Very friendly, attentive and helpful staff. The food was wonderful, tremendous variety everything fresh and great tasting, excellent! highly recommend the buffet will go again on a regular basis
Service was fantastic, staff was very attentive. We went for the Seafood Extravaganza. Food options were limited and meat quality was okay. The service made it enjoyable but I would probably try a different restaurant next time.
Catalina Kitchen offers a vibrant dining experience with a focus on fresh, flavorful dishes inspired by coastal and Mediterranean cuisine. The ambiance is warm and inviting, perfect for casual dining or special occasions. Their menu features a great variety of seafood, salads, and creative small plates, all beautifully presented. Service is attentive and friendly. Prices are moderate, reflecting the quality and freshness of ingredients. Overall, Catalina Kitchen is a solid choice for those seeking tasty, well-crafted meals in a relaxed setting.

Good service, very mediocre food.
catalina kitchen at Terranea Resort, is an outstanding restaurant in a world class venue. The the quality and creativity of the food is over the top.
The service was amazing went to celebrate my birthday couldn't ask for more exceptional service
We could tell that the food was well done but it all arrived lukewarm. The service was just abysmal. We had a reservation and were seated outside in the cold with no heat lamp as we were told they were out of petrol. We did ask to move near a lamp when we saw an opening and we were allowed to. Our server was completely disengaged and never even once asked us how we were doing or if we liked our food. The two things we asked for that weren't orders from the menu (no ice in the water and extra ranch) were ignored. We sat there for 2.5 hours mostly just waiting without even any water to drink. I'd never return and for the first time in probably over a decade, I didn't leave a 20% tip because it was such awful service.
Plenty of heater-lamps and fire pits on this brisk evening. Heather and Miles along with their support staff were perfectly attentive. Dishes were served adequately spaced for an un-rushed experience. The Parmesan crusted asparagus appetizer was double the portion I was expecting. Light and crispy exterior and delicious all around. I recommend the bone-in ribeye. It came with mashed potatoes and a vegetable. A nice variety of desserts available and the three we had were all delicious in their own right. This was my fourth time at this restaurant and I’m looking forward to my next visit already.

What a fabulous experience! The service was impeccable from valet parking to restaurant hosting. Our server, Miles, was the BEST. His menu recommendations were honest and spot on. We both had the Catalina Burger, which is truly one of the most scrumptious burgers I have EVER had in my 50+ years on this earth. Miles told us about the Friday buffet - we are definitely planning to partake in the near future!
If you go here on Saturday morning, you can enjoy both a buffet and a brunch menu. The buffet includes steak, which is quite good! The fruits are very fresh too. Highly recommend trying their weekend brunch!

Absolutely lovely and the food was DELICIOUS. If you love seafood, be sure to come on a Friday because the crab legs, oysters, and shrimp scampi are absolutely insane.
Overall beautiful location. I requested to sit on the patio hoping for a view of the water. They honored my request. The water view even on the patio was there, but minimal - you're able to catch glimpses of it through lounge chairs, palm trees and shrubbery. All employees very friendly, but it appeared my server may have been the bartender for awhile (it was 6pm) as she apologized for getting stuck at the bar with drink orders - it was easily 15min before she approached my table after I was seated. Based off of that, when she did make it to my table, I decided to ordered a drink, an app and my dinner all at once for fear it would be another 15 to put in my order. At that hour the restaurant had minimal people dining at it - as the night went on it seemed to get busier and then I saw more wait staff. So maybe it's an earlier in the night problem. Overall good not great. Pork chop was little dry. And meal was pricey. One person dining, glass wine, spinach dip w/pita and pork chop $110 with tip.
All but the desert was pretty bad. Like not good enough to finish. Even the cocktails were lackluster.
