The server was less than friendly. The Spinach Dip was served cold, and had to be remade, and even then, wasn't that good. The overall experience was less than expected, considering we drove over an hour to have a nice afternoon out and a pleasant lunch. disappointed to say the least
Terranea Resort was absolutely amazing. From the moment you enter the driveway up to the entrance the staff was very friendly. The resort is ADA wheelchair friendly, with magnificent routes to magnificent views. Relaxing atmosphere not crowded or noisy. Many pathways to different scenic ocean views, there's even a trail that takes you down to the cove, although not wheelchair accessible down there everywhere else is.
Excellent service. Great food. Prime Rib sandwich was superb. Great weather day and gorgeous scenery was an added bonus
Place and vibe were excellent, but very delay due to understaffed, soup was not warm. But staff was still kind of serving it up.
We looked forward to dining here, hoped it was better than their buffet breakfast. The $40 buffet p/p breakfast is a whole other issue. At dinner we were seated quick. We did have a reservation and our waitress was pleasant enough, but not very efficient. We saw her twice. She was not knowledgeable about the food at all. Door took a while. Lots of staff and restaurant was not horribly busy. Sandwich with french friesa pizza, and waters for $87. We probably could've done better at Nelson's. I do not recommend this place. ,
Came for their Christmas buffet. The food was very good. The selection was better than the buffet we had at Trump National for Thanksgiving. There were lobster tails and lamb chops and prime rib, etc. The dessert section was great and included ice cream which Trump didn't have. Unfortunately Catalina Kitchen did not have any sashimi as part of the buffet. Just sushi rolls. The only quibble we have is that they didn't lay out utensils to grab and use. Silverware is present when you sit down but inevitably somebody drops something and you have to ask the waiter to bring you another one and they're not always walking by. Also chopsticks had to be requested too. But overall we had a great experience and would go back again.
The Friday night Seafood Extravaganza was the best buffet we've ever experienced. Fantastic options, all delicious. The service was great too, in terms of friendliness and attentiveness.
Very friendly, attentive and helpful staff. The food was wonderful, tremendous variety everything fresh and great tasting, excellent! highly recommend the buffet will go again on a regular basis
Service was fantastic, staff was very attentive. We went for the Seafood Extravaganza. Food options were limited and meat quality was okay. The service made it enjoyable but I would probably try a different restaurant next time.
Catalina Kitchen offers a vibrant dining experience with a focus on fresh, flavorful dishes inspired by coastal and Mediterranean cuisine. The ambiance is warm and inviting, perfect for casual dining or special occasions. Their menu features a great variety of seafood, salads, and creative small plates, all beautifully presented. Service is attentive and friendly. Prices are moderate, reflecting the quality and freshness of ingredients. Overall, Catalina Kitchen is a solid choice for those seeking tasty, well-crafted meals in a relaxed setting.

Delicious menu with prompt service. All staff seem to really enjoy working at all the restaurants.

Good service, very mediocre food.
catalina kitchen at Terranea Resort, is an outstanding restaurant in a world class venue. The the quality and creativity of the food is over the top.
The service was amazing went to celebrate my birthday couldn't ask for more exceptional service
We could tell that the food was well done but it all arrived lukewarm. The service was just abysmal. We had a reservation and were seated outside in the cold with no heat lamp as we were told they were out of petrol. We did ask to move near a lamp when we saw an opening and we were allowed to. Our server was completely disengaged and never even once asked us how we were doing or if we liked our food. The two things we asked for that weren't orders from the menu (no ice in the water and extra ranch) were ignored. We sat there for 2.5 hours mostly just waiting without even any water to drink. I'd never return and for the first time in probably over a decade, I didn't leave a 20% tip because it was such awful service.
