Golden Scoop Gelato | Palos Verdes California

Golden Scoop at Golden Cove Center has tasty and excellent gelato and dairy-free sorbets. The chocolate sorbet tastes very close to the gelato, recommended. Staff is also always friendly, as well!

This is such a charming little gelato shop with a wonderful atmosphere. The space is beautifully decorated, and I loved that they even display and sell artwork, which gives the shop a unique and creative feel.

The staff wasn’t overly friendly and seemed a bit laid-back, but they were happy to offer samples and helped us choose our flavors.

The gelato itself was excellent. I ordered the pistachio and chocolate flavors, and both were rich, creamy, and full of flavor. They were so delicious that I’d gladly come back for them again.

One of the best things about this location is the setting. The views around this shopping center are beautiful, and it’s one of my favorite areas to visit. Grabbing a gelato and enjoying the scenery makes for a perfect outing.

My only suggestion would be to offer a few more gelato flavors, as I would have loved even more options to choose from.

Overall, a lovely spot with delicious gelato, a unique atmosphere, and a fantastic location. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.

I hope Golden Scoop stays in business forever! There have been a lot of ice cream shops in PV over the years, but Golden Scoop is a cut above. Delicious gelato and super friendly service! Highly recommend the hazelnut, but you really can’t go wrong with anything.

Perfect spot with the kids on a Friday. Lots of great flavors, gelato or sorbet. Lots of seating and reasonable prices (especially compared to some of the new ice cream/ fro yo places that have been popping up around the hill).

We stopped by Golden Scoop Gelato after a quick stroll along the PV coast and honestly didn’t expect it to hit this hard. Total gem. Easily some of the best gelato (and ice cream in general) we’ve had in the area. We tried a bunch of things: tiramisu gelato, strawberry cream gelato, pistachio gelato, a strawberry matcha latte, a gelato-topped croffle, and the Nutella berry croffle. Everything was solid, but a couple standouts for sure. My daughter loved the strawberry cream gelato, super smooth and not overly sweet. The pistachio was legit too, actually tasted like pistachio and not just sugar. My favorite was the gelato-topped croffle (croissant + waffle combo) with tiramisu gelato on top. So good. Warm, crispy croffle with the cold gelato worked perfectly. The Nutella berry croffle was also a win. Don’t sleep on the drinks either. My wife really enjoyed the strawberry matcha latte, balanced and not too heavy. Great spot to end a walk by the coast. We’ll definitely be back.

Gelato here feels a little too buttery / fatty (feel like eating raw butter) to me but not bad.

Ooh this is good. We were craving ice cream and ended up here. We aren’t big fan of gelato in general but this place hit. We had the coffee, tiramisu and cheesecake flavor and honestly just yummy! Cant wait to come back and try more flavors!

So nice to have a gelato shop in this location! Clean, friendly, tasty. I enjoyed the fior di latte and a latte. Sign on the counter says that all flavors are gluten free, except those with cookies.
