I recently dined at Mar’sel, attracted by its reputation for elegance and fine dining. From the moment I stepped inside, I was mesmerized by the beautiful decor and upscale ambiance. The attention to detail was evident in every aspect, from the luxurious furnishings to the impeccable service. However, my experience took an unexpected turn when I suffered an allergic reaction to kiwi, which I had never encountered before. Despite my distress, the manager's response left much to be desired. Instead of immediately contacting emergency services, they inquired about my bill and then requested me to wait outside, presumably to mitigate any embarrassment for the restaurant.Unfortunately, the outdoor seating options were limited to the sidewalk and bushes, hardly fitting for a high-end establishment. This lack of consideration for my well-being overshadowed the otherwise exceptional experience I had at Mar’sel. In conclusion, while Mar’sel exudes elegance and sophistication, their handling of medical emergencies needs significant improvement. I hope they prioritize the safety and comfort of their guests in the future.

Great environment and service. But can’t make up for the food poisoning we got from eating the Wagyu steak yesterday. Both my mother in law had the same steak and we’ve been up all night with food poisoning. This should not be a concern with such a high end establishment. Highly disappointed.

I was there with my friends when one of them had an allergic reaction during the dinner. I was surprised that nobody at restoraunt had any medications on hands for allergies. We were lucky I had allergy meds with me. That safed my friend life. Restoraunt management should at least accommodate us to the private room so we don't sit on the waiting area upfront of everyone where people can see my friend laying down and throwing up. It was embarrassing experience for all of us.

If you’re looking to dine somewhere that genuinely takes pride in the care of their customers for an unforgettable full package dining experience where you feel catered to in the highest regard & leave feeling truly satisfied & in pure bliss with a lasting impression, Mar’sel is THE place for you!Karla has been an absolute standout & gem at Mar’sel. Her attention to detail is off the charts which sets her apart. She represents this restaurant extremely well with being so accommodating, outgoing yet highly professional, & in a league of her own. It’s all of the little things & she constantly delivers outstanding service. Her timing is always spot on & she goes the extra mile to ensure it’s an enjoyable experience start to finish without missing a beat.No other restaurant has the same level of consistency with their ENTIRE staff being top notch from their kind & professional managers, knowledgeable bartenders, friendly hosts, exceptional team of servers, attentive server assistants & runners, & everyone doing their part, including the helpful kitchen staff & incredible chefs behind the scenes making such beautiful & delectable meals for a memorable dining experience!Although yes, sometimes the portions lean more on the smaller side with a higher price point, the food itself is always very fresh & the chef specials are frequent enough to always make the menu feel new & exciting which also gets swapped out to accommodate what is best seasonally! The view is obviously spectacular & stuns in any weather, you can taste the passion these chefs have in the cuisine prepared alongside a dynamite cocktail menu, the ambience is superb both in their outdoor & indoor section,, but really it’s the dedication of the Mar’sel team that makes this restaurant the best of the best in LA.Thank you Alex, Ben, Bryan, Cenobio, Chris, Desiree, Diego, Erica, Felix, Jade, Karla, Kiké, Horacio, Ishtvan, Istvan, Jeffrey, Jesus, Maxwell, Shannon, Sang, Steven, Terry, Wes, Chef Antonio, Chef Blais, Chef Fabio, Chef Julia, Chef Justin, Chef Nallely, & the countless others of the Mar’sel team for always making Mar’sel such an above & beyond, special, & welcoming dining experience! Every single person is immensely appreciated!!!

Went out to mar'sel last night to celebrate an achievement for my partner. The service was phenomenal as well as the views. Quite intimate. The food was delicious as well as the cocktails. Some of the most creative cocktails I've had in a long time! Our server and her assistant even ensured I was warm on the patio and gave me a blanket. A night to remember, thank you crew and chef at mar'sel!

The worst dinner we have ever had. Stayed at Terranea, and went here for our wedding anniversary dinner. I had the filet. It was unseasoned and not good at all. My wife had a vegan dish and it looked like frozen vegetables with rice. They were dry and terrible. We describe our dinner here as bad conference food. Location was beautiful, and the staff was great. Take away the location, and you would never go back. When we stay at Terranea again, we will not dine here.

Initially we were kept waiting for our drink order to be taken, and in fact had to ask the manager. Subsequently the service was adequate but not great. Food was all excellent and it is a quiet relaxing venue.

I made a reservation for myself and the Mrs for Valentine's Day which allowed for only their preset menu($180 per person). At tad steep but the restaurant's live harp player, elegant décor and panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean create a picturesque setting for a memorable meal. However, despite the inviting atmosphere and attentive staff, the quality of the seafood falls short of expectations. Despite being situated in a coastal paradise renowned for its fresh seafood, the offerings at Mar'sel disappoint. Dishes may lack the freshness and flavor one would anticipate, detracting from the overall dining experience. Additionally, while luxury dining often commands a premium price, the cost at Mar'sel may be perceived as excessively high given the subpar seafood quality. For some diners, the exorbitant prices may not be justified by the culinary experience offered. In summary, while Mar'sel excels in ambiance and service, its underwhelming seafood offerings and steep prices may leave some patrons feeling disappointed. For those seeking a truly exceptional dining experience, exploring other dining options within Terranea Resort or the surrounding area may be advisable.

I go to Mar'sel often but today we had invited friends there for brunch, I boasted about how amazing their food is but it was absolutely disappointing and awful, the first course was ok, the 2nd course was a disaster, we had the filet mignon x2 , the butter milk fried chicken and lobster Benedict, they were all so salty to the point that salt burns your tongue. The butter milk fried chicken was drowned into some sort of orange super hot and spicy sauce, the beef was tough to eat. I did not have my dessert because nothing in the menu was to my liking, they have a shortbread for dinner menu and they always were very happy to make it for me at brunch but today the pastry chef said she cannot. I hope this is a one time thing just because today their chef had an off day. we spent almost $600 for 4 people but left hungry and rushed o a burger joint to eat,

What an amazing dining experience. Beginning with a lovely “amuse-juice” which hits the spot to get your taste buds ready to dance then the party in your mouth that is the 3-course brunch, everything was just divine. The views are unbeatable and of course, the service was impeccable. (Thank you Jesus and Enrique!!). Topped off with the most perfect weather, it was the most enjoyable experience!!!
