Food quality has declined - 3 of our party got shrimp tacos and they were almost inedible. We've been coming here for years and sad to see the food quality come down.

We treated ourselves to an afternoon at the Terranea Resort where Nelson's is located. Beautiful day, stunning location, dog friendly on the patio, good food and the fabulous Amanda as our waitress!!

Service was excellent. Food delicious but not out of this world. A bit expensive but you are paying for the ocean front view. It's a stunning location for a nice lunch date or gathering with friends/family. Lunch for 4 approximately $250 with only 2 cocktails and waters all around...so a little pricey but a million dollar view and the sound of the waves crashing onto the rocks is priceless.

This is a beautiful restaurant located over a cliff overlooking the sea. The views are incredible. The service and the food was mediocre just to get into the resort and go to the restaurant. There’s a $10 parking fee and it’s a valet. The grounds were beautiful, but the way to the restroom can be very long. We waited over an hour to get seated, but we made the best of it by walking around and enjoying the grounds and the views of the ocean. There was some miscommunication about the seating. The bench seats closest to the water our self service you can get a drink at the bar and see yourself in that area. However there’s a plexiglass that separates the open area from the area that you actually get waiter to serve you.

Nelson's is gradually becoming my go to for not just celebrating special occasions but also if I ever need to pamper myself exclusively! The view , ambiance, service is a perfect blend while the daytime visits are as mesmerizing as the evening's... definitely recommended!

2 little taco's for $28 is $14 per taco. Tacos should be 3 for $20 which is average for restaurants. You are paying for the atmosphere, not for the food.
