It's such a lovely, one-of-a-kind spot, overlooking the ocean. It's very casual with kids, dogs, high chairs, and often windy but it's a fun vibe and the food is pretty good.
It had been years since I've gone to Nelson's. It's mostly known for its beautiful views. But it would be nice if the food matched. I ordered the $35 lobster roll with $2 up charge Caesar Salad. I had less than 1/4 cup of lobster on a huge roll. And then my lettuce was brown and wilted. My friend ordered the fish & chips and found hair on the fish. Fries were good. Service was good. Short glass margarita was $19 and average.
Poor customer service, not attended , felt not welcome. Chopped Ceasars salad was very dry and almost no dressing . We have been to higher end restaurant and this place is not recommended at all. The only good thing is the key lime pie. We also got fish and chips and it was very ordinary. The soup was so thick. Over all our experience was bad and it was our 40th wedding anniversary and they know this. We made a mistake going to this place.
Food is delicious, just know the portions are small with a big price. The location and ambiance is so amazing that it doesn't matter. As a local, it feels like a get away evening. Be sure to catch the sunset if the timing is right.
The Great food. The staff was wonderful and it doesn't get better than having an ocean views. I live only 15 minutes away , yet, this place make me feel like on somewhere else (on vacation). Soothing atmosphere. This is the perfect place to unwind/relax. Thank you
Nelsons never disappoints. With the most amazing views and great food, it's our go-to for lunch by the ocean in PV. The picnic tables off to the side of the restaurant are great if you have kids. Service is great!

Food seemed like packaged food and was just heated. Location and view is good but won’t recommend the food. We ordered nachos and wings with some drinks.

Wonderful food as always. We had some delay with a couple of dishes however the manager was very responsive and accommodating. Always appreciate the professionalism at this resort. We look forward to visiting again soon.

It's just a so-so restaurant in a beautiful setting. It is extremely expensive for what you actually get. Nothing terrible, but nothing special for premium price. A burger and beer with tip is 30 USD.

Truly amazing experience. From arrival to the staff giving us directions to Nelson's. The food was the most delicious I have had. The views were breathtaking. I live in LA and this was my first time to the Resort. It will not be my last. Only the one I would recommend would be more signage to Nelson's.

We were VERY VERY rushed. Waiter did his best. Sat down and were told kitchen closing in 5 mins. Rushing second drink orders to get it in before bar closed, Turned the tvs off on us - March madness basketball games -only reason we chose this rest bc of big tv's. Their main focus was getting us in and out. My husband even said What's the rush, you all have hot dates?
