Sushi is ok. Price is reasonable. The chief was so busy and tried. He was trying to convince us to orders something else like tempura rather that sushi, but we order sushi anyway. Lol. One of the waitress looks and sounds so moody when taking the order. Long wait time.

So disappointed. I have been there a few times and loved it. Today after a long work day, I stopped there and sat on the bar excited to order. The sushi man was pushing me to order tempura because he said he was too busy for me to order sushi. I was not in a rush and was having a sake... just did not understand why he was so grumpy. I paid my sake and left. I am a next door neighbor...

Shin is the son of the owner. He is the worst, unless you are a Japanese Client. Today was the last straw. I have been eating at Tashiro since 1991. Shin tonight loss my families business. My mom and I ordered the spicy rice cake and a Japanese family of 6 arrived I guess they ordered the spicy rice cakes too. Shin served that family 2 orders and then came to me and said he was out of the spicy rice cake. He obviously gave our order to the Japanese family. When I asked him about it he said he needed to take care of his special Japanese Client. I am a regular at Tashiro I go every other week. This is the 4th time I have been treated rudely by Shin. And this will be the last time. I will go to Asaka’s from now on

First time trying this place after moving to the neighborhood during the pandemic. We ordered the miso soup, toro sashimi, blue crab roll, rainbow roll, crunchy rice and tuna, and the nigiri sampler they had - all were top notch. The menu is simple and the chefs focus on the quality and execution.Service was great, waitress was always checking in.When you step in you instantly notice that you stepped into a place from the 90's, somewhat nostalgic. Place is small and somewhat intimate giving all diners visual of the prep which is good.All in all will def be back.

Very nice sushi restaurant. We just enjoyed a meal with varied items - sushi rolls, udon, teriyaki chicken and appetizers. Everything was fresh and nice. Recommended !

I just discovered this place looking for sushi in San Pedro and based on the reviews I had to try it. It's in the strip mall off Capitol and Western across from the Ralph's shopping center. I don't know how they stay in business as they are open from only 5pm-845pm but maybe that's why they can keep their fish fresh. The prices are sushi prices and you get what you pay for. I will definitely be back.

We've been going to Tashiro for around 15 years now. They have delicious food that quickly became my comfort food. The miso soup is delicious and comforting. The service is great, they are attentive and very kind. We love to introduce our family members to this place. I highly recommend it!!
