I love this restaurant! Great food and friendly service! Sometimes the food takes a while to get to the table, so If you're in a hurry it's probably not the best place to go. Otherwise, it's worth the wait.
they are able to accommodate my food allergy perfectly so I can enjoy Mexican food still minus the tomatoes
We stopped on our way south, from Portland to Tijuana, to watch the Mexico v. England World Cup game. Ordered the 7 Mares soup with hand made corn tortillas, and it was really good. They close at 7pm, and at 7:15 the game was still going and we asked if they knew somewhere else to watch the rest. They said we could stay there til it ended, even if it went into overtime. Based on the reviews, La Corona #1 is the best overall Mexican food in town and in the RedBluff area. This family-owned restaurant offers authentic food with great taste, good portions, and very decent prices. Customer favorites include Fish Tacos, Breakfast Burritos, Carnitas Tostada, Fajitas, ground beef enchiladas, shredded beef and carne asada tacos, Fried Catfish, Fried Tilapia, Menudo, and Birria de Chivo. The salsa and chips are always fresh, scrumptious, and served with flour tortilla chips. The staff are the sweetest people, always ready to serve, kind, and friendly. The dining room is spotless and smells good. The restaurant is also dog friendly.
