Some of the reviews for this cafe must have been written by grumpy or City People. Our experience was great. Good food. Made fresh. Fun location, considering it is on the road! One woman was carefully sweeping up piles of redwood droppings, preventing fire, I imagine. Very small operation but that was part of the charm. Place to take a break and reflect on what is important in life. Gourmet, it was not. Memorable, it was.
We stopped off to visit the Eternal Tree House as we thought the kids would like it, but after a long day of stops and walking through the Avenue of the Giants we decided to get some ice cream cones. Best $2 I ever spent. The woman who helped us loaded up those cones and made our kids super happy! They only have vanilla and chocolate, but really, who needs more than that?

So, we visited the 31-mile-long Avenue of the Giants. There are not that many dining options on this route. We stopped at this place. They have a gift shop and a "Tree House" consisting of a tree trunk that is hollow at the bottom, pretty much an empty space. Nothing exciting. However, we stopped for much at the cafe there.
