My new favorite pizza spot.😍 I don’t want any other pizza now!
Stopped in while passing through Redding because we were craving pizza. Absolutely delicious pie, prepared much like the ones I remember from my time in Germany. No garbage toppings, no overprocessed, tastes like a can, sauce. Probably not the pizza you expect but it is delicious. An hour from home but we will be back.
We stopped in yesterday for the first time and we were DELIGHTED! This Italian’s opinion is that the best pizza in the world comes from Naples, Italy, and now at Donatello’s in Redding. We were greeted with a warm and welcoming smile. The place is clean and relaxing, decorated tastefully with a casual, relaxing vibe. The best part was the scent in the air. The beautiful wood-fire pizza oven was impressive as well, and we were amazed to hear that the owners built it themselves....read full review

Donatello's Pizzeria is a pizzeria in the town of Redding, tucked right below Mt. Shasta. It has a brick oven, and the crust is great, soft, fresh, chewy and buttery. The ingredients are fresh and sourced from Italy, and the dough is made in house. The pizza is the best in town and the best outside of Europe, just as good as Italy and Napolis. The Margherita and Calabrese pizzas are delicious, with flavorful crust, sauce and toppings. The vibe is great, the folks are super nice, and the pizzas are ready faster than expected. It is a must eat in Redding and one of the better pizzas in all of California.
