So glad we found this spot! We tried to google and yelp a fruit spot couldn't find one in Redding. As we dined at a Mexican restaurant we were referred to this Mexican market! Wow such great service, a small family owned market with a variety of Mexican goodies. We had a fruit cup and a Piña Loca. The Piña loca was load with a variety of fruits and Mexican candy. It was so so good. We highly recommend this spot!

This small carnicera also has a corner for inside eating, a meat market with fresh produce, and canned Mexican items. Customers enjoy the huge and delicious chili verde burrito, which includes fresh beans, rice, and melted cheese. They serve authentic, delicious tacos, burritos, huaraches, sopes, a couple plates and on weekends they serve Menudo. The Al pastor meat is fantastic, and so is the salsa and pico de gallo. It is the only place in town to get blocks of fresh cotillja and fresh crema. Overall, J.r Mexican Meat Market is a place where you get your money's worth and enjoy a tasty meal.
