I had the prime rib. Overall everything I ate was average. I don't really have much to praise or complain about. It was just... Good enough. The price felt high, but that may just be our current economic environment and not so much the restaurant to blame. The server was wonderful and sweet.

You must try the Monte Cristo sandwich if you like sweet and savory. It was one of the best I have had. The prices are reasonable. Better than Sweeties all around we all thought. They also have a full bar! The atmosphere is really cute, comforting, and has a vibe that takes you back. We recommend this diner and we will be returning.

I ordered the sirloin Caesar salad to go. The steak was cooked perfect. The salad was fresh. Something to look forward to when you get off a long day of work. Thank you Matt.

We had a work related Christmas party here. (About 20 people) In my opinion the price was a little high for the caliber of the restaurant. The food: My wife had the New york steak and asked for it medium rare. It came out super well done to the point that it was tough. I had the prime rib, no major complaints, maybe a little underseasoned but not bad. I give 5 stars to the wait staff. We had one primary waitress with a couple of helpers. I wish I could remember her name, but she did a great job. She was friendly, took care of our group well, and handled all the checks without any confusion. The waitress did a great job, thank you. The restaurant I would not recommend, aside from my wife's steak being awful, We both ended up getting sick after dinner. STAY AWAY. UPDATE: Two other people got sick after the eating there that night as well.

I love Lulu's so don't misunderstand my review. The service and the ambiance (in the bar area) is impeccable and beyond critique. We did not have reservations for Thanksgiving because when I tried to make them they said they were booked and not taking them anymore. They said to just walk in and they would do their best to seat us and they did. First at a tiny table that I would have been good with but they moved us to a real table shortly thereafter. We wanted to watch the football game and both tables would have worked for that. Did I mention that the service was perfect? The wait staff could not have done more to accommodate us, they did everything effortlessly. Now the food. Not only was everything except the gravy just one notch above TV dinner fare, but they pretty much quit bringing it out around 6 when the buffet was supposed to go until 8. There was no pumpkin pie available when we were looking for it and very few desert items left at that. Needless to say that I will probably not be going to Lulu's for the food unless they get a new chef or up their game a whole lot. I have been to several buffet's in Vegas, Hawaii as well as Redding and this was by far the worst. Wait staff, we love you, you are the best and the bar is fantastic so please bring the food up to the same level.

Just had my husbands 70th Birthday party there. All I can say is it was perfect. Food, atmosphere, the set up and all. Marci and her staff did an outstanding job. The chef is fantastic! If you need to throw a party of any kind I recommend Lulu's. You will not be disappointed! Thank you Lulu's for everything.

Update: While I still like this place, some price increases have surprised me and led to not choosing Lulu's as my 1st choice stop for a meal. I understand everybody needs to make a profit but dining profits have risen by leaps and bounds and my income has NOT followed suit. Retired folks have nobody to strike against to get higher income as unions are able to put the pressure on and make changes. Sorry Lulu's. It still has yummy food and you always get plenty of it. The menu is filled with lots of choices so there will be something for everybody. Their Prime Rib is generously cut and possibly the best tasting in town. Don't skip the chicken fried steak if you're a fan, it's awesome too.

Went with a small group for brunch on a Saturday. Coffee shop side was not overly crowded at 11 am. Service was decent. Pretty extensive menu for both breakfast and lunch, with reasonable prices.

The old school Redding spot. Simple and mostly good food. Friendly local long time servers. It’s a lot of history and a good place to go now and then. The bar is a time machine worth the stop alone.
