Great lil spot to grab a bite. Had the taco plate and fish taco and a pina agua Fresca. So good. Was so full. Definitely recommend.
Better than you might expect! I've been to a couple of vegan Mexican food places around the IE over the years and i'm usually not writing home about it, and often they don't last long. This place is somewhat new but it's worth stopping in sometime. I never leave reviews but just had to give this place all the love! I recently transitioned to a pescatarian diet and unfortunately there is nothing I can really order out where I live that's good and let alone worth the price. I never even knew vegan Mexican food could be possible until we happened to spend a day in Redlands and found this gem. There is a good reason this place has such good ratings! BZ Taco - Vegan Mexican Food is an all-vegan Mexican fast-casual restaurant (order at the counter). The owner is very friendly and nice, remembering guests from previous visits and greeting them warmly. The food is outstanding, with bright color, texture, and punch of flavor. Portions are generous, with serve-your-own Pickled Onions, Jalapeños, and Salsas on the counter. Everything is delicious, and even the rice and beans are made right. The salsas just needed a bit more flavor or salt. The Esquite fries con salsita, guacamole, picante zanahorias con cebollas, and Agua fresca Piña are highlights. The BZ Torta, their signature Carnitas Torta cradled in pillowy-soft Telera Bread, is an incredible sandwich. The Fish Tacos are yum, especially with salsa de piña. The BZ Nachos (Al Pastor) take the mixed bowl concept to another level. Taquitos dorados are also recommended. It is truly the best Mexican food, with love put into the preparation and cooking. It is a small (blink-and-you’ll-miss-it) restaurant with big, bold flavors, located on the opposite corner of Trader Joe’s in this strip mall. A wonderful all-vegan Mexican restaurant.
