We looked for a restaurant to meet at halfway for a reunion with our L.A. friends (we are in the Coachella Valley) and the Yelp reviews indicated that Tartan would be a match. We wanted old school steakhouse vibe with red leatherette booths and dark atmosphere with stiff cocktails. Wow, did we ever hit the bullseye with this great place! Love love love this place. Very old school atmosphere, just exactly what you'd expect! Warm and inviting. Friendly staff and the service is great! The prices have gone up a bit in the past few years, but still a very good bargain for all that you get. Portions are plenty. Tartan burger is delish. Salmon was great. You will often see the owner greeting people and making sure we have everything.
