Tried this place just yesterday. The cafe was nice and cozy, and everything looked delicious, though unfortunately everything was also very expensive / overpriced. I had the cinnamon roll bread, the honey toast, and the cheese & ham toast, and all were very tasty. The service was amazing; the cashier / barista who helped us out was really friendly and helpful with explaining things. I probably won't go back though because of the incredibly high prices.

I enjoyed the honey toast. Unfortunately though, the guy with colored hair and one of the other employees made me not want to come back again. They said something to one another in Japanese while looking at me and my family. Looked at us up and down and laughed. Ugly, weird attitude and 0 customer service. Japanese people, especially owners are extremely nice because that’s how you keep customers coming in, that’s how you show you actually care about the business. Not by looking at customers up and down and making them feel unwelcome when they come in. Do better.

It's wonderful that the South Bay is gaining so many beloved Japanese and Korean bakeries. This one did not disappoint. The bread cubes are creatively distinct as well as delicious. I came to the cafe soon after it opened and have returned time and time again. I can attest that whatever supply issues plagued its initial launch have been solved, and there are always plenty of options to choose from as long as you come over an hour before closing (typical for bakeries). My only wish is that it was open for more hours of the day! If you have gone before and were disappointed, give it another shot now that they've got a better handle on things.

Coffee, bread and pastries were excellent. The lovely atmosphere of the cafe was straight out of a Haruki Murakami novel.

The boss Ryu is really friendly and personable. Have a chat with him!

Lots of street parking at the side.

This place is super lovely and Ryu-san was very friendly along with all the staff. This is a truly authentic Japanese store with conscious owners and great people as well as ambience. Both the food and coffee is great as well. Can't wait to come back and try more. Parking is also really easy and convenient be it street parking or plaza parking, it is all good !

You need to have actual exceptionally good food, not just your “we are Japanese so everything made by us is better” attitude.

Last year, I stood in a 40-minute line here, only to be rewarded with… absolutely nothing. They’d run out of food by noon, and the the crowd looked like an angry mob, without pitchforks. I swore I’d never return.

Fast forward to this week: I’m nearby, it’s 12 PM on a Wednesday, and—plot twist—they actually had food. No line. No angry mob. Just a sleek, cozy space that seats about 20–25, and a surprisingly calm vibe.

I tried the signature Mou (cinnamon roll flavor), apple focaccia, and raspberry pain suisse. All tasty, none life-changing. The raspberry pain suisse won the pastry popularity contest.

Would they be better microwaved for 10 seconds? Probably.

Still, friendly staff + smoother operations = I’ll be back. Mou (raspberry jam & whip) and chocolate croissant, you’re next.

Amazing bakery with incredible coffee. The Mou bread was soft, warm, and packed with flavor — it’s seriously next level. Cozy atmosphere and friendly service too. A new favorite spot!

When they first opened, the line was too long to try, but now that it has calmed down, we finally got to visit. Growing up in Japan, this style feels familiar to me, but my friend who was born in the U.S. was impressed by how beautifully the breads are displayed and how they are served as a plate with salad and yogurt on the side. The mentaiko butter (cod roe) might be a love-it-or-hate-it flavor in the U.S., but my friend tried it for the first time and really enjoyed it. I ordered the prosciutto & egg plate, which had just the right amount of seasoning—not overly salty—so each ingredient and the bread could shine. The staff were friendly and welcoming. If the prices were just a little lower, I’d definitely come here even more often!

Bakery seems good, very specialized. Prices are high! $7 for a single ice cream scoop.

This is a most wonderful Japanese bakery, with fusion of tastes that will make you want to come back again and again.

The staff is friendly and professional, and you can either stay and have a nice cup of hot coffee and some bakery items, or take home - be ready, you will want to take home a lot!

Delicious overall, and worth making a stop!
