Phuket Thai Restaurant is a wonderful Thai food restaurant in Redondo Beach, serving the Beach Cities. It is a main 'go to' Thai place with a very big menu where you can find anything you want. Favorites include pad see u, Thai rice, Chechen skewers, spinach with tofu, Panang curry, Mee Krob, Spicy Basil entrée, Thai pad, and garden fresh spring rolls. The $15 lunch specials are a local gem, offering a choice of entrée, soup or salad, and rice. The food is always good, very fresh, and fantastic with outstanding dressings and flavors, packed with fresh veggies and a perfect Thai chili kick. The Tom Kha soup is creamy, tangy, and comforting.
The atmosphere is nice, cozy, casual, and welcoming with plenty of seating. There is free parking in the lot or on the street. Service is sometimes quick and extremely friendly, but can be inconsistent, though the new owner is working on it. The restaurant does not have a full bar. It is a must-try for authentic flavors before heading to the sand.
