Bangkok Bay Thai Cuisine has been serving classic Thai curries, soups, rice and noodle dishes in downtown Redwood City since 1993, and I’m glad I finally tried them. The flavors were really delicious, and I especially appreciated that they have a vegan-friendly lunch menu by default with customizable protein options like chicken, pork, beef, prawns, tofu, or veggies.
I ordered the red curry with tofu and asked for it spicy, tastes so good. The curry came with zucchini, bamboo shoots, bell peppers, and basil in a super creamy coconut milk sauce. Slightly sweet and rich, perfect with white rice. Very comforting and surprisingly filling for the price ($15.95).
Definitely a great lunch spot downtown, would highly recommend if you’re craving Thai food in RWC.

lovely restaurant: great food and even better ambiance. would be perfect for a quiet date where you can actually hear each other talk. Loved the catfish, fried rice, and many other dishes. The staff are really friendly too. 3rd time visiting, will come back again!

Delish! We eat a lot of Thai, and our first Thai in Redwood City didn’t disappoint! Our kids are picky eaters and said this was their new favorite food & they reminded me to leave this 5 star review. The peanut tofu was a favorite, & the flavor of the pumpkin curry was top notch. Also enjoyed the garden veggie…. All so good!

Parking is difficult even for pick up, but food is excellent.

We had the Peanut Sauce Tofu dish and the Drunken Noodles. Very good, homey food. The quality of the food is great, and I highly recommend it if you want a reliable Thai experience.
