Still the same nice downtown pub, with a great selection of beers. However the food menu seems to be stuck in pandemic times. The more complex dishes of pre-pandemic times have not returned. My rating is based on food options. We both had the pub burger, the patty was good and cooked very well, but you had to pay $2 more for any kind of cheese, which felt wrong. Just wasn't the same quick eat & drink spot we were used to from before times.
The service was good and they came to check on us frequently, but the food was just not that good. We got the quesadilla with chicken and the pub burger with pepper jack cheese and they were missing a lot of flavor. The fries that came with the burger were very meh, very few were crispy and minimal flavor. It was still kind of the afternoon, so we didn't get any drinks which may be their specialty. Based on our experience we can't really recommend this place to anyone.
We are long time customers of City Pub and used to go more frequently when they had more menu selections. We understood a more limited menu during covid, but that limited menu has stuck. There's only so many burgers and grilled chicken sandwiches you can eat before you're bored. Beer selection remains good though even here some of the rotating taps have declined. What they have for food and bev are still strong, just wish there was more variety.
