Small local business- really loved the concept of simple, homemade to-go bentos, so we were super excited to come here a few weeks ago. A very friendly, older Japanese woman took our orders and offered us free drinks as well. The food came very quickly, so overall a really great in-store impression. Unfortunately, the food itself was just okay, and seemed overly catered to American tastes. The curry was a bit watery and was slightly sour, while the edamame was oily and too garlicky....
I had the 3 choices bento box. It comes with salad, rice, 1 piece of pork katsu, 1 teriyaki beef steak (with broccoli & carrot) and 2 large shrimp tempura (with potato salad). $20 total. Good value and fresh food. Feeds 2 people. It was not very busy on a Sunday afternoon. I waited for 10 min for the food. It's for takeout only.
Take out only. I got the chicken curry, spicy. The spiciness wasn't too much, kind of mild in my opinion. Flavor was okay, honestly didn't taste like much. The chicken was delicious. But where they shine is their value. The amount of curry can easily last 2-3 meals. Can't beat value in this economy
