Super unique flavors! I got the spiced pear which tasted like pie (also had some crumbles inside) and my husband got brown butter (so incredibly delicious). He never finishes his ice cream so I mixed both our flavors and wow! Genius combo

Fantastic premium ice cream! So delicious it would turn a snowman into a cannibal.

Love their ice cream! So much delicious flavors it's hard to choose! Service is great, and location is perfect to grab an ice cream after your meal.

A bit expensive but the malted chocolate and Vietnamese coffee flavor together was great!

Summary: Overated(?) ice cream chain with unique flavors that (on my one and only visit) left me disappointed. Wanted to like it, but just can't with the product. The good: The variety of flavors was neat - but that's about the extent in terms of food? The server was kind, but nothing notable. The bad: Viet Coffee felt off. It was definitely coffee, but not the flavor I expected - strong, rich with condensed milk. Felt very watery and fleeting. I would say similar to the milk tea, but honestly. The ugly: I could not finish my ice cream. The texture was almost gummy? My biggest peeve with ice creams. Could not taste a strong base ice cream.

When I first moved to California, I sincerely thought Humphry Slocombe was a real estate agency (it's the font, I swear!). I'm very happy I have some friends here to show me that it, in fact, a fun shop for ice cream. I love the Secret Breakfast flavor and I get it all the time now, but it's definitely worth trying out the other flavors if there isn't a big line. This particularly spot in RWC is pretty small but it looks like it can get busy really quickly. Came here on a Monday holiday and it wasn't busy at all. They had this mango sticky rice flavor that REALLY captured the flavor of mango sticky rice. However, it wasn't the type of flavor I would've gotten a whole scoop of. Anyway, of course I got Secret Breakfast and happily wandered into the night with my one scoop of ice cream worth $6.25 lol. Luckily I'm not too overwhelmed by the price (thanks J.P. Licks!).

Found out about this place because of a Yelp event that was going to happen but didn't see it come back. Saw it the other day after getting a meal in the area and decided to stop by. Gotta say, didn't miss much with the event not happening. Average ice cream, over priced and small quantities which is fine I guess since it didn't taste that great anyway. Service was great though, only redeeming quality was not the actual product.

Delicious multi flavors icecreams. Great service.

Good ice cream and service, this location doesn't seem to get all the rotating flavors they advertise online

I'd been wanting to check out Humphry Slocombe for a while and it was worth the wait! I love innovative ice cream flavors and this place had a good selection of these, as well as the classics. On a Thursday evening, the wait was pretty short. I tried a sample of the McEvoy Vinegar & Oil which wasn't bad, but I opted for the Vietnamese Coffee. I asked for the smallest size cup, which was still pretty large (couldn't finish it). My friend got the Secret Breakfast, which was so delicious - loved the crunchy texture mixed in! My other friend chose the Matchadoodle (matcha and snickerdoodle), and this was also fantastic. Would happily return to try more!

(Tom Cruise voiceover)The vibe is fab place for a quick scoop of ice cream in beautiful downtown Redwood City.David warmly greeted me! He is so helpful and enthusiastic. I may try to recruit him to join the IMF. Naturally, I went with the Mission Impossible flavor! It is spicy! My accomplice doesn't like spicy, but I do. I chose to accept this mission and now this tape self destructs in 3, 2, 1, poof! Will definitely come back and try a less cinematic flavor. Woohoo!

Normally they are awesome but tonight they were out of almost everything

Overpriced - pretend fancy - not very good. The ice cream is watery and while the names sound amazingly interesting, the taste is actually boring and in no way satisfying. If you're used to the 31-flavors quality, it is an upgrade but not for $7. Not that supermarket ice cream tubs are so much better. But they are honest in their somewhat artificial offerings. .

I love their elderberry cherry ice cream! It's even vegan. Out of this world. A must try!
