So glad there is another kaiseki place we can go too. With the explosionnof Omakase tasting menu this one that I missed the most since Toshi of Kaygetsu retired. Wakuriya is hard to get a table just like any other michelin star restaurant.
We enjoyed our kaiseki lunch for mothers day. Seating at the counter is always nice. Watching the meal prep. Love the edamame pudding and chawanmushi. End of the meal was the unagi hitsamabushi style that was so filling.

Excellent food and service! Variety of raw, steamed, grilled dishes and the waygu sukiyaki was excellent.The neighboring table was noisy. Foreigners who speak loudly in an otherwise quiet setting. Otherwise the atmosphere was great.Will come back again.

As soon as we walked into the restaurant, we felt transported to Japan. The exquisite kaiseki cuisine and elegant environment make this a hidden gem. The food stands up to any of the Michelin star restaurants we have visited in Japan. And the service reminded us of dining in Tokyo.
