This place feels seedy from the outside and dated and unwelcoming when you step in.
Don’t let that fool or stop you.
Once you’re in and seated you realize most everyone is a regular, and the staff is warm and welcoming.
And the food is seriously stellar. I had the Bullet (their original recipe since 1954), my girlfriend the Huevos Rancheros. You can taste the time and care that goes into making everything from scratch.

It’s hard to find an affordable restaurant in 2026 but look no further. Ordered 2 burgers for pick up @ $7.50 each on grub hub. Zig’s is a very cozy, old school vibe with family friendly atmosphere. The food is always delicious, service is always amazing. Moving out of the area so I had to come here one last time 🥹😭 ordered 2 bothers one with no onion, and I love how easy it is to differentiate the burgers as they write on the wrapper “no onions”...read full review
The Huevos rancheros is the best I’ve ever had. Very authentic. I’ve lived down the street from here for years and never stopped by. I’m definitely gonna come back for lunch sometime.Need to try those fish tacos
