“This place feels seedy from the outside and dated and unwelcoming when you step in. Don’t let that fool or stop you. Once you’re in and seated you realize most everyone is a regular, and the staff is warm and welcoming. And the food is seriously stellar. I had the Bullet (their original recipe since 1954), my girlfriend the Huevos Rancheros. You can taste the time and care that goes into making everything from scratch. I don’t usually go places more than once but look forward to becoming a regular here and trying more on the menu.“

“During one of my dining-in visits the store manager, Jabari (?), and Jocelyn, who was training at the time, were very attentive and made sure my experience and food were amazing. I love Habit and they are part of why I frequent this location.

One suggestion is to increase communication between team members and the attention of the person handling to go orders as on several occasions I was waiting several minutes while my order was ready and on the counter, but the staff wasn’t turning around. The person at the register didn’t check in or take a moment to draw their coworker’s attention either even though they had noticed I was standing there for a bit. This is minor and while it won’t deter me from returning, it may turn other customers away.

Also, please bring more vegetarian/ vegan options!!“

“When a restaurant takes their bread and simple salads seriously you know the rest of the meal will be excellent. That is this restaurant. Everything was excellent: freshness, flavors, choice of items on menu. The menu is small, but that just means each item has their full attention.“

Her fingers moved like liquid gold on the keyboard and her compositions were witty and mesmerizing. The word that kept coming to mind as they performed was "subtle." The music was powerful, but so discrete as to be gentle and gentile. Woodwinds, Bass, and Drums - all played with the kind of delight that makes everyone love the performers as well as the music. As for food, one dish stood out particularly: the creamed spinach with blue cheese. Please tell Chef I would love that recipe! I'm back home in Tennessee now and plan to attempt to copy it, but having the authentic recipe to serve to friends when we entertain would be over the top! “Great night at BOA in West Hollywood. The Cajun cowboy steak was the highlight, with a bold, spicy crust that added real character without overpowering the beef. The mac and cheese was rich and creamy, and the corn was a sweet counterpoint to the heavier dishes.

“The quality of the food was not good at all. My steak was overcooked and heavily seasoned I had no choice but to send it back. The waitress took so long to come back and check on us after our food arrived by time she came back my friend already finished his meal. They need to revamp the menu and get a better chef. This is a very average place for steak. The music place was great though. I would skip the restaurant and convert into a night club!“

“The bar at the Valley Inn is perhaps one of the best kept secrets in LA. Yes, it’s tiny but get there early, secure your seat and you’re in for a ride of the greatest cocktails served up by a ladies and gentlemen’s gentleman - the maker with the shaker, Bill. Seriously, make a friend of this guy and then introduce him and the bar to your favorite people - only your favorite people! The food in the restaurant is great but a tad expensive but the bar will become your new happy place. Bravo“

“I have to share how great Judith, the manager, was today. I messed up my to-go order and put two chicken tenders instead of chicken tenders and chips. She not only not charged me for the chips after explaining the situation but gave me quite a large portion. I know chips are cheap but this small painless interaction was just so appreciated. “Two of us went for dinner on a Thursday night at around 7:30. It was busier inside than outside but we sat outside and it was really nice and easy to hear each other talk.
Our waitress was very, very nice, extremely helpful and had such a great attitude. In fact, the friend that I went with had lost his home in the Palisades fire so he went to the restaurant the day after and one of the waitresses said that he smelled kind of like soot. He explained how he lost his house the day before. They said to him to sit down, relax and order whatever he wanted and drink whatever he wanted and it was on them. How nice is that? That's how the people are there.
The food was really good. We shared a chicken salad and the blue Burger which came with fries. They were both really tasty and good.
We each had a cocktail and they pour their drinks in big glasses which is nice.
I would not hesitate to go back if I were looking for a casual, no-nonsense restaurant with even better service.“

“We needed a place to eat dinner late on Friday night and found Henri's. They were closing in 15 minutes but gladly allowed us to sit and order. We didn't want to make it hard for them so we just ordered breakfast for dinner and it was delicious! We are picky in our bacon and hashbrowns and want them cooked very crispy. They were the best we ever had! The next day we came back for breakfast for real and pretty much ordered the same thing. Unfortunately it must have been a different cook. Although it was good and plentiful it was not cooked as nicely as the night before. Definitely NOT a deal breaker cause Henri's is really very good and the staff is exceptionall - both visits. We could tell it is a local favorite and that is always a good sign.“
