be prepared for a super long wait. Went here today for a bubble waffle and took me 20 minute to get my order. By the time I got my waffle, it was not even warm. They were super behind with their orders because they had an online order option. Bad idea. The customer in front of me picked up a slush drink, it was melted. Really bad experience.

for about 2 months now, this location has been consistently making bad boba (the tapiocal balls). Everything else is ok, drinks are mixed ok, service is fine, but for a major chain, this is the first Happy Lemon location with bad boba texture, can you please check the cooking process... The one in San Leandro and the Berkeley ones are doing just fine with theirs.

This was my first time here. I was down here going to 99 Ranch and decided I'd like something to drink. I tried the mango passionfruit green tea. You are given the choice of how much or little sweetener and ice to put in and I usually like it less sweet with less ice so that I can get more of the drink. I like the fact that they use fresh fruit in many of their drinks. This drink was very good, very refreshing and I would order it again. The service was quick and all the employees looked like high school kids, but they were very fast, bright and efficient.

This location makes the best bubble waffle. I actually went to the Downtown Berkeley location to get a bubble waffle and was completely let down. It was not cooked evenly and barely had any flavor. So I actually drove to this Richmond location to get it again! The original waffle came out so delicious with a strong vanilla eggy flavor; cooked perfectly. See the pictures of the bubble waffle for yourself! Their drinks are also consistently good. Im a huge fan of their Fresh Taro Milkshake because it has real taro purée. And can't go wrong with their salted cheese teas, yum! If you're craving a bubble waffle and a drink, then look no further. Location has ample bar style seating. Service can be a bit slow but it also means the workers are taking time to perfect your drink!

I ordered a fruit drink WITH crystal BOBA and there was NO BOBA at all and my drink was very watered down despite being light ice. This was very my first trying Happy Lemon and will be my last. I'm really disappointed!

Drinks are ok but they really do not give you any boba! They really skimp on the boba. Give us more boba if you want to get better reviews and more returning customers. I came here a few times and every time the boba is so little compare to other places

First time coming to this shop, only came in because As we were passing by the strawberry drink looked delicious and I knew we had to try it. The service here was quick, just walkup and place order with a pretty calm atmosphere with the workers being friendly as well. We decided to try the strawberry shortcake and it was very delicious just like it looked. It had a strong taste of like a strawberry milkshake with a rich strawberry taste along with the cream. It was one of the best strawberry drinks I have tasted yet, with no complaints other than it not being a bigger size! 100% recommend for your boba and drink needs if you're ever in the area!

This place is overrated. The customer service is poor and it takes waaay too long for them to get your order. I bought regular boba and oreo bubble waffles here. I didnt find the boba to be that chewy and the waffle was too crispy. They either didnt pour enough batter or over-cooked it. It was also lacking in flavor. Take your money and go to Hong Kong Snack House instead (just down the hallway across from the hot pot restaurant). They have a lot more variety and its good!

If you can choose to go to any other location please do, they don't acknowledge you when you're asking for help, they have bad attitudes and the speed of service is horrible, there's absolutely no sense of urgency to get the drinks out, even when they'll have 10+ people waiting for drinks and both their baristas hanging at the register. You'd do better spending the extra time to get to a different store. If I could give this a 0 I would.

Happy Lemon's milk tea is my personal favorite out of the main chains. 50% sweetness is perfect in my opinion and the texture of the boba is great. This location is always super busy and the workers are nice despite having so many orders between just a few people. I'm sure on busy days, even small orders take a long time to get out. I got the wrong drink and they made me a new one without any issue, which I appreciate. I like this location but would probably hold off when it's crowded.
