This was my first time here. I was down here going to 99 Ranch and decided I'd like something to drink. I tried the mango passionfruit green tea. You are given the choice of how much or little sweetener and ice to put in and I usually like it less sweet with less ice so that I can get more of the drink. This location makes the best bubble waffle. I actually went to the Downtown Berkeley location to get a bubble waffle and was completely let down. It was not cooked evenly and barely had any flavor. So I actually drove to this Richmond location to get it again! The original waffle came out so delicious with a strong vanilla eggy flavor; cooked perfectly. for about 2 months now, this location has been consistently making bad boba (the tapiocal balls). Everything else is ok, drinks are mixed ok, service is fine, but for a major chain, this is the first Happy Lemon location with bad boba texture, can you please check the cooking process... The one in San Leandro and the Berkeley ones are doing just fine with theirs.
