The monarch has gone through some recent changes and really upped their game. We had dinner there tonight and were pleasantly surprised at the quality of food and the responsive service. I would give the restaurant 5 stars but they need to work on the lighting. Too bright more like cafeteria lighting.

This place is amazing! The staff are very business oriented, professional, energetic and fun. Each and every server and bartender always have a smile on their face. The weekend dinner menu is my favorite, which they have every Thursday through Saturday after 4 PM. I love how when I come in to this place I see familiar faces and how family oriented this establishment is. I also love how they offer, trivia, karaoke, and bingo, as well as giving the option to rent their banquet room out for events. Great place to hang out with friends and family have a few drinks and have a good bite to eat.

What restaurant decides to get rid of avocado to save money? My sister came to town to take me to lunch for my birthday, we, of course went to the monarch. She ordered a cobb salad and I ordered the California burger. The waitress tells us we don't carry avocado anymore so the Cobb will come with no avocado and we don't make the California burger anymore (it came with avocado). (She actually wasn't even nice about it) My sister looked at me and said: your restaurant doesn't have avocado?? What kind of place is this? I was so embarrassed that we even brought her there. Our favorite item there was the California burger and now it's gone because you don't want to deal with avocados I guess (maybe it is to save money.) Also, the blender for yummy blended drinks got scrapped because no one wanted to clean it. What the heck? Maybe we will come back if you get things back in order. The place also needs to be updated. Hello 90's, welcome to 2024. Please let me know if I'm wrong... I'd be happy to change my review.

The food ranges from average to good. Portions are usually generous. Service can be friendly and engaged at times to lacking at other times. The interior needs an update, the carpet is worn and stained. The best item I've had here is probably the hamburger.

I got the Shrimp Po'boy... was excellent! Considering I lived in New Orleans on and off for 8 or 9 years... I was impressed! And our waitress was very attractive and friendly! I really enjoyed everything!

Forgot to take photos but I had the calamari steak dore on Friday for the first time and it was SO. GOOD. Lightly fried to perfection with a nice lemony flavor and delicious saltiness from the capers. The steak was super thick, too! Hard to find calamari steaks at restaurants around here, so very happy this is on the dinner menu for now. Rice pilaf and broccolini on the side- so simple and yummy. I also tried the vegan brown rice veggie bowl on Wednesday and added grilled salmon. Holy moly, that was delicious! Walking was cooked PERFECT and flavored so well. Melted in my mouth! The veggies were also amazing and the portion size was huge! Had to talk half home for lunch the next day. Friday's soup is clam chowder each week. A special recipe from one of the chefs. He has been making his clam chowder for over 20 years and has perfected the recipe! So delicious. Good food here and nice environment! I also find the prices to be much more reasonable than a lot of the other restaurants in our area. I couldn't believe the calamari dore was only $19! This spot is definitely worth checking out!

The hours on here are incorrect. We were told by our waitress that the hours are generally 11:30 to 7:30, except for when they are closed for special events. Anyway, call to check.It’s a really lovely place. It has a nice atmosphere. It was pretty full when we were there, but you could have a conversation without shouting.The wait staff is great, very quick and really pleasant and friendly.The food was good. It is casual dining, salads, burgers, sandwiches, etc. The menu is short. It’s not one of those places that tries to offer everything. They seem to stick with simple and tasty. Ray had the French dip and he said it was very good. I had the fried fish. The coleslaw was fresh and fish was nice and flaky. We had the cream filled hot churros for dessert. So so good!The prices aren’t too crazy, and the drinks have just the right amount of tequila.

They tell you what they can't do, I asked for the Prime Rib, and they said that they only had Medium Well, or Well Done?I wanted rare? That means that it was already cooked, and they were reheating it?!! I left after having a drink ? because paying $45.00 for an old piece of reheated ?? meat is insane! They act like they are doing you a favor by substituting things because they run out of menu it constantly! I have had better food in the worst Military ?️ Bases overseas!..

Food is mediocre and OVERPRICED! Majority of the menu items are an average of $15/plate and the food quality is less than par. Service is great but I'll never pay that much for their food again.
