“I cannot rave enough about this establishment. I love the atmosphere! They have the largest private collection of African safari animals. You feel like you're in a museum where you can eat and drink! The food is always tasty and the drinks are nice and cold. I love coming here for lunch or a late night hang with friends. The service is great and the staff is always really helpful and friendly. Fosters has a special place in my heart and always will ! So happy to see the new owners putting so much love into this business. Wishing them all the continued success!”

“How have I grown up in the delta and only tried the striper recently !? They have the best breakfast ! Service is always fast and friendly. I highly recommend the Huevos rancheros with verde salsa. “Came in on a Saturday evening and the place was busy. They had live music out back and the bar was packed. I had the linguine with clams. Very generous portion of clams. Also had some garlic bread. Overall it was a very good meal.”

“Great carnitas in tacos and super burrito. First time having chilie rellenos and it had great rice and beans. Everything tastes home-cooked and prices are reasonable. Good service and always busy.”

“Food is excellent, delicious with large portions. The service is great, takeout only. The staff is friendly and inviting. As stated this takeout only however, there's tables and chairs if you have to wait and the premises are clean and well kept. A menu is prepared each week with 1 entree item with sides and dessert. Sam's catering is a God send to the small quaint town of Rio Vista”

“Had the bacon cheeseburger. Was very good, it's a big burger. Fries were just ok. Had onion rings and they were good. Definitely get a shake, I had a chocolate malt and it was fantastic.”

“I come here often, but I just walked in this week and the new owners introduce themselves. Very nice people. The store is very clean services is very prompt. Everyone seems to know what they’re doing. They were cleaning the soda fountain, disinfecting all the counters something you don’t see often in fast food, where they actually care about cleanliness. There’s a pleasure to meet them, and hopefully continue to have great business, and contribute to the economy here. As far as the food really good sandwiches, you can’t go wrong with the sandwiches and I’m very quickly be becoming a favorite of the foot-long pretzel which you can get in salt or sweet which I found out today.”

“This is an experience and som3 great food.You seat outside or inside looking over the Sacramento River tons of boats and a beautiful scenery. The food is so so so good. This time I went old school and got the fish and chips yum my other guest indulged in the crab and shrimp salad this thing was huge and my other guest enjoyed a nice portion of pesto ravioli. We all ordered a soup to start as well two tomato basil and one clam chowder yum yum so fresh and so good.we also decided to try the fried potato cheese for appetizer... Yum and the bar drink were so good as well.. Service was great parking was plenty..Try this place ...”

“The monarch has gone through some recent changes and really upped their game. We had dinner there tonight and were pleasantly surprised at the quality of food and the responsive service. I would give the restaurant 5 stars but they need to work on the lighting. Too bright more like cafeteria lighting.”

“Nice hidden jewel in downtown Martinez. Visited twice, and they haven't missed yet with a variety of dim sum selections as well as various beef dishes. Plus , a nice selection of jazz music just increases a pleasant ambiance.”
