L&L Hawaiian Barbecue in Riverbank offers some truly delicious food that hits the spot! The flavors and quality of the dishes reflect the charm of Hawaiian cuisine, making each meal enjoyable. I particularly appreciated the variety on the menu, which caters to different tastes and preferences.

However, I did encounter a small issue during my visit. The young guy at the cashier spoke very softly, and I found it difficult to understand what he was saying. It would greatly improve the experience if he could speak a bit louder, as clear communication is key when placing an order.

Despite this minor setback, the overall experience was positive, and I would definitely recommend L&L Hawaiian Barbecue for its great food. If they can address the communication issue, it would make the dining experience even better!“

They did break my cardinal rule for bbq though. The food came pre sauced. Luckily the sauce was good. The meat was tender, and the portion was huge for the price. The sides were tasty too. By far the tri tip was the winner. It’s mostly a regional thing, but places that do it right are hard to come by. It was definitely the star of the meats I chose.“

“We had the BEST BBQ SPAGHETTI in Modesto! Its ABSOLUTELY THE BEST! The tri tip sandwich and sliders are amazing, and pulled pork sandwich SCRUMPTIOUS!!! OH and the service was A+ !!! Everyone should check it out!! We spent 50 for all that food!! Fed 3 people.

“We used Rollin Smoke for our wedding and it was delicious. Everything arrived on time and was set up perfectly. They set up everything and made it so easy. People are still talking to us and telling us about the beans and how delicious it all was. We had pulled pork, brisket, beans, and Mac n chz. All of which was delicious. Most definitely recommend this company for any and all catering needs! We will be using them in the future for sure!“

“Just left this place and let me tell you….. 5 STARS! not sure if it’s family owned or not but they sure did make us feel like family. My girlfriend and I did a takeout order and when she was walking out she accidentally dropped it. The people inside saw this and IMMEDIATELY started making another one before they even came out to us. They came out to let us know they were making another one and made us feel so much better. The young girl in the front even came to clean it up right away. THIS is how you run a business. Hands down the best service ever!!!!!“

“We recently celebrated a few birthdays here, and every time was great. For a party of 8 we spent about $135 with purchasing drinks as well. So under 5 is free. After 3:30 is all you can eat I’d recommend going at these time. You basically choose from a buffet of meat, and vegetables they cook it for on a high wok it’s worth it!! And with my daughter being sensitive to shrimp, they cleaned the wok every time, and we’ve had no reactions like with other places!! They do delivery with DoorDash, but they stay packed cause the food is amazing!!!“

“Second time at Dave’s barbecue. This second time was better than the first.
I had basically the same thing as last time…The Founders Feast ($33) with a slight modification.
My dinner consisted of brisket, ribs, chicken, cornbread, corn on the cob, two sides of Wilbur beans and mac & cheese. Lots of food! I normally can finish my dinner but I took home a couple of ribs and brisket. I will enjoy that tomorrow. Everything was as good or better than last time. I really enjoy the Wilbur beans. They have chunks of meat and they are slightly sweet.
My son ordered a hamburger. He really likes their burgers. He was happy with his choice.
We had the cheese curds as an appetizer. They are very good as long as they’re hot and fresh.
And not forgetting to mention our awesome server Norma! She did an outstanding job tonight checking in on us frequently with a smile and keeping our water glasses full. Kudos to Norma‼️👍🏻👍🏻
