Break the Ice Reviews
Our treats were absolutely delicious!!
A beloved community bookstore that has been paying their rent on time for 10 years is being evicted because of xenophobia, prejudice, and politics. I used to work in the towne centre as a waitress at Jammin Bread and although I used to love the Centre, I am ashamed of these actions they are taking. Linda, the bookstore owner, is a wonderful person and does not deserve to be treated this way. The towne centre has certainly lost my, and many people’s business for this.
Ownership of the center is discriminatory. They evicted two businesses recently based on judgements about content during live performances. There was no nudity. No overtly sexual content. It was entertainment that was a little racy but broke no laws.
Any future tenants should be aware the management will make values judgements like it’s the 1950s in Idaho. What’s next? Evicting a restaurant for having hip-hop? Hateful management that does not value all of its customers,...read full review

Break the Ice is a restaurant located in a spacious plaza in Riverside, offering a variety of taiyaki, ice cream, and drinks. The matcha ube soft serve is not overly sweet, and the taiyaki, especially the red bean paste variety, is warm and enjoyable, making it a phenomenal option. The ice cream presentation features a unique twist, served in a non-traditional cone shaped like a fish. The strawberry milk tea is very sweet, but the customer service is good, and the overall atmosphere is neat and accessible, with plenty of space for wheelchair navigation. While the food and drinks are generally decent, there can be a slight sour smell and taste at times, but the staff remains friendly. Break the Ice is a fun place to try taiyaki in Riverside, with options for sweet or savory fillings, and flavors like taro and ube in their boba.
