Food was good and the service was nice. Everything was cooked beautifully and best Barbecue I've had in a while. Problem is the location is pretty small best to eat takeout on this one
Great BBQ
The brisket is absolutely delicious. The banana pudding, yams, and green beans were amazing too. Special shout of to the green beans, in fact, they were savory and extremely tasty. Very kind and personable service as well
Can I add a 6th star to food? Maybe a 7? Brisket is amazing of course, but I love their burnt ends and their sausage. Is it pricy, sure. But it is absolutely worth it. There is parking in back. Be aware that at peak times, the lines does get busy and it is possible for them to sell out, but I usually come before the lunch and dinner rush.
Overpriced. The pork ribs were so dry and tasteless. Hard to eat without smothering it in bbq sauce.

This barbecue place is so freaking delicious. When I say that you can feel the spirit of Texas in your soul, I mean it. The Mac n Cheese is absolutely incredible with its cheesy insides and even more cheesier top of perfectly toasted cheese. The employees are so nice, patient, and helpful when you are ordering and will let you try out some of the meat if you really want to. The peach cobbler is another must have. It’s melts in your mouth like ice cream and tastes incredible. Another must have is brisket burnt ends. It’s basically this extremely tender brisket, like “fall off the bone” kind of tender, covered in this sweet barbecue. What I am trying to say is that this place isn’t called the spirit of Texas for nothing. I recommend you go here if you want to have a good meal with yourself or your friends.

The brisket was good, but not great. I only came here because it was the closest place to eat, but I would not go out of my way to eat here again. Unfortunately the location and atmosphere at not very pleasant.

Our very first visit and the food was delicious and the staff very friendly .
We had the brisket, burnt ends sandwich with their coleslaw, added some potato salad (so yummy) and dessert banana pudding. All of it was delicious. I’ll be back for sure and actually I had to order more to take home. sorry no photos too busy eating.

The best barbecue I’ve had in years! Seasonings were on point the brisket, ribs, and the sausage links were 10/10. Links were beef hard to find in BBQ spot the cracked pepper was a great addition for a little kick. Sides were 9/10 Mac, rice, yams and banana pudding. 🔥

Went for a hike of Rubidoux and a friend recommended we try out Spirit. Staff was very friendly and hospitable. I tried out some experimental habanero wings, brisket, spicy Mac and cheese, and corn bread. Great flavor and meats were soft and smoky. We were talking too long and my food got cold, really saps the quality, but a quick reheat brought it back to life. I’ll definitely be back.

Although they run out of chicken after lunchtime, their brisket & potatoes are so delicious! Super friendly & accommodating especially with gratuitous add-ons to complete my order. Deli-like table seating enhanced by staff ensuring attention if you need anything.

I had an amazing experience at Spirits of Texas. The service was truly outstanding — the team went above and beyond to help me choose and prepare food that I was planning to give out to people in need. They were patient, kind, and genuinely cared about what I was trying to do.
The food itself was excellent — high quality, fresh, and well prepared. You can really tell they take pride in what they serve. What stood out the most, though, was their willingness to help and support the cause. It wasn’t just a transaction — they made it feel meaningful.
Highly recommend this place, not just for the great food, but for the people behind it.I had an amazing experience at Spirits of Texas. It says everywhere online that this place has beef ribs!! We went here and they DO NOT have them. Thanks for lying and wasting my time. Don't go here!! If they cannot give real information, they don't deserve your business.
